Share your comic boiz.
And talk about how it all started. c:
For me it started when my artist who couldn't speak english needed me to do concepts for the story. So I drew stick figures... and that's when this wild adventure started :v

Description: Naota Nakaoka was just your typical harem hearthrob until his life was cut short. Now he's been reincarnated .... as a stick figure. I had an idea for a one-shot comic where two characters play video games and talk about punk rock because those are basically the only subjects I have proper knowledge on and it's called Game Punks and the entire idea is very self-aware of what it is, and it writes itself

So, I googled the name "Game Punks" and found out it was taken by a line of shitty NFTs and I hated it SO much I went the full mile and built an entire series, which reminds me I wanted to get the name Game Punks trademarked, just for shiggles

It's an homage to 2000's gaming webcomics, "an amalgamation of the two gamers on a couch comic with an alternative spin".

Anyway, we're doing story arcs now because that's an easy way of suckering people into wanting to read your comic more, but I wholly believe the worth of a comic can be judged by it's "filler" comics, which I use for subtle developments, and experimental illustrations.

I started the rough draft of Cracking Eggs in around December of 2021 I finally started the final version here in August of 2022 and hope to finish it by sometime in 2023 and start up the sequel!

To answer the question Cracking Eggs was at first a very experimental story I just tested new genres I never touched like paranormal, mystery, it was really weird but really that free write era was when I molded the characters into what I wanted them to be like and it gave me practice on drawing more. Finally I had a full on story with a plot, character dynamics and development and it actually makes sense. I look back at those experimental comics and see how much has improved.

If you want to see it for yourself, how weird Cracking Eggs used to be, just look at my older posts on Instagram. Warning yah it’s nothing like what I write now and it’s super duper strange.

My goal is to get 100 or more subscribers and perhaps with my voice cast release the first few episodes of the comic dub on YouTube this year once I make a channel as well as other projects unrelated to Cracking Eggs.

Coming up on a year of my weekly webcomics. So far it's going pretty good. Almost done with book 2 of 5. By the end of the next year book 3 and 4 should be done and maybe into book 5.

I was sketching characters for my comic ''The Lives We Live''
But I sketched one dog and made his backstory so large that I felt like it would be a waste not to have his own series. So:

Yeah...

Same universe, but more in the future.

How I started my comic. I thought how cool would it be to have a webcomic based off of my local anime conventions me and my brother attended over the years. So I came up with CONventure. I wanted to give the feel to the readers and fans that they are at an anime convention. I didn't want to make my webcomic exactly just a copy cat of an anime convention, but the feeling you are there and with the comedy anime twist in it. Trying my best to make my comic fun.

The first version of my manga went out in 2017. Then in 2018 went on hiatus because my job was exausting. Now that I have a more stable job, I spend the last days of August working on the remastered version, adjusting the drawings and the backgrounds.
After having all the first chapter polished, I decided to publish it in november 2022.

I started my comic the same week finals started, and I think the procrastination of studying for finals really helped propel me into getting it going. It may have hurt my grades a little but it really helped me to have something to do with my free time. The start of my comic is a little rocky because I wasn't doing an awful lot of editing (I've edited it since) but I was not doing very well mentally which ended up showing in my comic. Since then I've been able to shape my story into something that's more what I want it to be which has been much more fun, I look forward to being able to produce more :D>

My comic started when I found several scripts of this forgotten story in my boxes of drawings, so I organized the ideas to start bringing the characters to life.

I share my story, I hope you like it and give it a chance to read it.

I show them the cover and the synopsis to see if they are interested.

Love is a mystery is a story that focuses on Archie and Joey's relationship. First we have Archie, a boy with a quite traumatic past that has made him develop many disorders and crises that make it difficult for him to live normally with people. Then we have Joey, a gang member who hides many secrets, but who wants to be free of the destiny that has been imposed on him. So join them on this adventure to discover how all those barriers and chains are slowly broken.

I've always wanted to write a fantasy story that has an epic world-building and complex characters like the Games of Thrones, so...here comes Dawnbreaker.

Synopsis: our Nightingale children, each with different background, were finding their ways to survive in this highly segregated Tree. Singers, they were privileged, much respected, the glory of the Nightingale family. Peasants, they were lowborn, extremely deprived, the scoundrels that "make trouble if you don't feed them well".

As the confrontation between singers and peasants was getting heated than ever, Edith, Cadence, Cavina and Steifan found themselves caught up in the simmering tumult, eventually reaching their own epiphanies after a chain of gruesome events: Not everything was black and white. Perhaps things just might not be what it seemed from the facade.

I'd always wanted to make a comic to share to the world. My heart resides with the genre of action (modern action) and I had a plot in mind to weave into a comic but I wanted to save that for later, when my skills had improved more. So, I started with the story of Wolf Hound to help me grow as a comic artist. At first it was just an idea lingering in my head (for about a good year or so), then it became a bunch of character sketches and finally I decided to make it something serious by scribbling out a script. :raised_hands:

I got the idea for my novel after looking at my map and realizing the difference between time zones. Then I started the novel during my exams in late April. Now, I have 44 subscribers and I can't be more proud of it.

I actually created the characters of my comic for an animated short I planned to make, whose story would be about how they all met etc., but as I was planning that out and creating animatics for a few of the scenes I noticed how big the story was getting, which was kinda overwhelming, so I dropped the animation part of the project for a while, but continued to make illustrations of the characters and people really liked their design and I noticed that I´d love to make a Slice of Life Comic about them, so that´s what I ended up doing XD

I started this series in June of 2022! The idea itself came to me after having an idea where I wanted to make a comic about a knight of some kind. Originally it was going to be a dark love story where it followed the classic, "search for the princess," story beat, but after some thinking I changed it!

At the time I started to get into more Fantasy based art, and I really enjoyed looking at the art for Elden Ring/Dark Souls and that really caused the change. It soon became something completely different and it just felt right. Instead of the main character searching for a princess, I decided he should search for himself. The story then unfolded naturally!

Here's the summary and the link!

A cyborg crusader must find out who he truly is after escaping the clutches of his mysterious creator. He must learn to navigate the inner workings of himself while also navigating a mysterious, apocalyptic fantasy world.

I love many gag-a-day comics such as Penny Arcade, Extra Fabulous, Perry Bible Fellowship, Mr Lovenstein, and Nedroid to name a few!

I started to realise more and more often, I would have funny ideas springing up whenever I read some of these comics, until I suddenly realised that there was nothing stopping me turning them into comics of my own!

And thus, Something Very Silly Indeed was born!

I started working on Iria as far back in 2021. It was supposed to be way darker. I started drawing in January 2022 and posting in March 2022.
I wanted it to be adventure in a world I created and have magical tropes with my special take on them.
It was mostly stringing together random ideas until they made sense.
And just recently I wanted it to have a queer subplot as well.
Anyways here is the link for it:
