This thread is solely devoted to posting stories (Comics/Novels) where one of the primary requirements is elements of suspense/mystery/crime/thriller (any one).

Come on out, creators of my most favourite genres, I'm waiting to bookmark this whole thread!

When I first put Dead Souls Doing the Samba up I only had it under "horror" because, well, the subject matter.

But then it's not really horror, I guess paranormal... I always thought of it more as a thriller. I don't know. It's been optioned for a screenplay (and hopefully will get sold for filming) so I guess it really doesn't matter at this point.

Write hard, write true.

Mine isn’t so much “crime” in the typical sense of the word but there’s a high focus on suspense and the core plot is one huge mystery that can only be solved through a series of other mysteries. Have a go at it if you think it’s something you’re interested in!

Genre: Scifi, Action, Thriller
A short story collection that involves science fiction, fast-paced action scenes, and dystopic universes.

What appropriate genre for this series itself is a mystery.
It is under Fantasy-Mystery-Drama genre selection, where main genre flips-flops between Mystery and Fantasy because I cannot decide.

It also contains supernatural elements —a highly requested genre to be added to Tapas.

Horror / Action / Mystery / the whole lot... not sure where to place this, but I'm sure it's got a little bit of everything for someone. To me, I just enjoy a well told story.

My story kind of has a sci-fi focus, but it definitely has a mystery aspect to it once you get right into it. It's about a city on the ocean where people turn into monsters depending on their emotional state. These people start disappearing and a counsellor, Maggie, is trying to figure out what is going on.

Alright.

My comic is not a about one crime story but its a thriller about a young assassin. Her next assignment is to kill the only person she ever had a close bond to, but who vanished years ago. And than a lot of stuff happens... It´s hard to tell without spoiling, so read yourself.

Drama/Mystery.

I kinda feel like I don't "fit in" with the other mystery authors and haven't had much luck making friends with them

This is my novel about a group of teens investigating the strange and paranormal happenings in their small town. The chapters are episodic but theres some overarching plot-lines and mysteries, including the mystery of what makes their town so weird!

I still don't know my exact genre, but it's a sort of western supernatural thriller with horror elements. For sure weird stuff happens. Choosing a good genre with the Tapas options is tough.
