I really can't thank you guys enough for doing this! Not only am I really excited that my subs can send support my way without necessarily having to pay money out of their own pocket, but I am in a really tight space financially at the moment, and the fact that I can now send a little my friends way without having to worry about how it will affect my bills means so much. I just got mine activated today (Total surprise too! Wasn't expecting to see it until after Christmas!) and I'm already having a great time throwing coins at my friends who also have the feature activated! Thank you again, @michaelson and all tapas staff involved in making this possible!!!

I guess the new question I now face is how does the "currency exchange" for the coins work? What is their worth?
Coins earned are worth more than coins bought so it'll be hard to say exactly what 1 coin is worth. Earned coins are worth more because Tapastic doesn't have to pay a fee on them like the bought coins.
However, I noticed that a 50 coin donation is worth about .04 cents and 100 is .08 cents.
I'm curious, is there a way to know who tipped you on the desktop site or it's just an app-only feature?
If you look at your balance details on desktop, it'll give you the name of who tipped.

They'll get to you soon. I got in around the same time I think. I was worried too, but they activated it for my account just a couple hours ago, and within the first hour I'd earned $8! This feature is awesome and I am extremely thankful for it. This brings me so much hope ;A;
