Tips on being an adult?

So, tomorrow is my birthday, which means I will become a legal adult of 18. This also means that today is my last day as a youth . I have to admit, it feels weird becoming an adult, and a little intimidating. Before I go out into the world as a man however, I was wonder if any of you had any sage advice or wisdom you could give me that will help me in the near future as an adult. I'm kind of new with this type of thing, so any information that will help me get started is appreciated.

Treat other people the way you would like to be treated. Care about the world and people around you a little more than you care about yourself. Make your best effort to be self-sufficient. Go easy on the vices. Be nice. Be the change the you'd like to see in the world.

Adult is a weird thing, even though I'm old enough to be an adult I don't feel like one at all. I'd say the really trick is that we're all just faking that we know what we are doing until one day we just get use to it or too old to care anymore. I say it's important to try and have fun, but also to think about all your decisions rather than just acting impulsively.....ummmm try and be nice and paitient....ummmm Idk really ^^;

You are no different today than you was yesterday but you are never the same one moment from the next. Always continue to grow and strive to be who you are and the person you want to be. Make some messes and clean them up. Learn from everything, no matter how small. Explore. Try new things.

Also, don't do drugs or rack up credit cards.

It's not gonna feel like that. Literally nothing changes, you're gonna do the same thing you do every day, whatever that is. 18 may be the legal age for adults, but for most countries, you still can't drink or do most of the things you can't do by 19/21/whatever the age is in your country (maybe it's 18 where you live, i dunno, it's 19 here). Even when you do become legal age for things like drinking and stuff, nothing actually changes. Your life will continue on as normal. There's no special ceremony that happens, there's no MaGiCaL TrAnSfOrMaTiOn, you just happen to be one year older. I'm 19, I'm supposed to be an adult, but I still sit around drinking Pepsi and watching Family Guy and drawing all day long, it's the same shit I've been doing for the past like, 2 years? Yeah.

"Adults" are just children with more privileges, responsibilities, and life experience. At the end of the day, it's still just a word in the dictionary that we use to segregate expected maturity levels.

In all seriousness, nothing changes, instead you see how flawed adults are and wonder why we put them on a pedestal to start with.

Keeping doing you. Live one moment to the next, don't overthink things. It is easy to get overwhelmed (at any age), so just focus on one thing at a time. Also, remember that you are never alone. There is always someone you can get help from (and don't be afraid to ask!). You'll do fine

You have to claim that you're an adult all the time, at every chance.

And fret about bills.That's what I've been doing since I turned 18.
