Tourney deadline and story

I don't think this was clearly explained in the rules, but what will happen to your story if you don't manage to finish it before the contest deadline ends? Does it get locked? Deleted? Or does it simply get disqualified as an entry, but you can continue to update it as normal?

You're not meant to finish all 120 chapters before the deadline, they only want a minimum of 20 chapters by October 24. You can upload more, but after this date you have to stop posting until the first results are in. If you don't win you just keep writing it however you want.

My understanding is that if you don't finish 20 chapters by the deadline, the entry is disqualified from continuing through the selection process, but can remain on Tapas.

Alright, thanks for the clarification.

I mostly only joined the tourney so that I could build a more disciplined writing schedule based on the deadline, but something came up IRL so the schedule got kind of messed up. Barring further mishaps, I should be able to catch up, but in the case that I couldn't, I hope to still be able to finish the story, even if it's no longer a contest entry.
