(Unofficial) List of People Offering Prizes for Tips!

If you haven't been living under a rock, you know tipping is the next big thing here on Tapasic! ( You can read more info on tipping here if you don't know what I'm talking about.)

And I've seen a lot of creators talk about having certain tiers for how much people tip! So I want to make a tread for people to show off what they are offering!

Information you should provide:
Your comic that people can tip
Your tiers (examples encouraged)
And if it is open or closed (just in case you don't want to do it anymore)

These prizes are OPEN
You can tip my comic Fear Full and I have two tiers so far:

5,000 coins gets you a simple chibi +2,000 gets you an extra character. Example:

And no, the bird does not count as an extra character haha.

And 12,500 coins gets you a more detailed bust portrait. Example:

If you tip me more than 12,500 I will try to make it extra special.

And by the way, as of today (2/28/2017) I believe1,250 coins equals about $1 before fees(correct me if I'm wrong) so keep that in mind when making your prizes!

Oh! This is a good idea for a thread. I'd love to see how other creators are working around limitations to offer tip rewards (limitations like mobile users not seeing wall posts or pms on their tapastic wall).

What I've been doing is each month I offer a type of prize available to everyone that tips me not matter how much is tipped.

Dec 22- January I held weekly raffles and selected 3-4 tippers that won art requests.

February I offered custom avatars to any tipper that claimed one.

I'm still considering options for March. Perhaps a piece of fan art of one of their OCs, or a likeness of the tipper or OC making a cameo appearance in my series, Oops.

Since mobile users can only really see comic episodes, it's been a bit of a challenge sending these users prizes or even getting in contact with them. All announcements have to be made at the end of an episode. Perhaps just thank you images or cameo appearances, something that doesn't require much contact or sending images would be the best method of tipper prizes currently.

I would hold raffles and such, but I don't have a big audience right now. I don't get tips at all really, and that's why I formatted mine that way. Haha. Idk if that sounds greedy, but I really would like to make a little money.

Along with my updates I will be thanking the prize winners, like just a little bit of text and a cute picture. So they can comment on what they want and we can discuss how they want me to deliver the picture(like email or their wall or on another website)

I'm giving out an Icon commission to my top Tipper. I don't know if I will be doing this again though, Only one person seems to be working for it. But I only advertised it to the comments area so people probably missed it. =/

I would probably do more if it was easy to look up peoples names or track who did what monthly or weekly.

We're eventually going to offer tippers of a certain flat amount a printed copy mailed direct to them, all at no cost, though right now printing is several years out.

I thought the tips reset after each month, so I have to rethink how I give out my prize, but I do plan to do prizes, not just for the top tipper, but frequent ones too, still kind of working on this whole tipping thing.

Wasn't aware that tipping totals reset, but if that happened, that would make giving out copies hard.

oh it doesn't reset, I was just saying my original plans would have been a monthly most tipper. Sorry I could have worded that better

I'd really like to offer something like that for those who tip my story Remember, though I have very few tippers so far - however: How do I find out WHO tipped me? O.o I tried it with the tutorial @ratique posted, where you just download all fees and balances, but there are no names =)

So, all of you guys who offer prizes for tips - where do you get the names of your tippers from? =)

That tut was made when the app first came out and has since been changed. Best way to see who has tipped you is to view your list of tippers on the Tapas app.
