What really shouldn't be unpopular but apparently is given the amount of times I've seen this happen irl: if someone recommends you a band/song or even pulls it up for you to listen or shows you an example of music they like, don't respond by telling them it sounds weird or by rolling your eyes or something similar. The amount of times I see shit like this at my work place.
Also, foreign music is just as good as American/English music. The amount of bands I've introduced people to and been met with "wow they sound just like an actual band". Really? Just because they don't speak English doesn't mean they can't play and are really alien and weird. A had a friend once say "Japanese music isn't my thing" and I was like wow does that mean English music isn't my thing. It's not all the same just because you've heard a few anime examples. And why is not understand the lyrics of Asian music a dumb modern teen embarrassing thing, but not understand the lyrics of opera an upper class, refined thing that shows you have taste?
Also OP is blantantly wrong and Nana Mizuki is the best female singer of all time fight me.
