Ahhh, you are amazing. That right there is where 95% of this generations writers fall flat. They hear about big names making big numbers and think hey I can write this stuff too. And they don't have a passion for it. Or a desire to bring these characters to life. To breathe into them the very essence of your soul. To laugh or cry with them. To blush when they blush, to hate when they hate. They don't give them a story because they need to, they create a plot and just plop names into the mix. They tell you this is a person you should care about. But the person is a empty box, and the story is a half formed thought they had over breakfast.
They want you to pay them 80 dollars a book for writing 200,000 words about that fantasy they wrote. You know the one about their famous MC who is now pregnant with a half wolf baby, after walking under the terrace of a billionaire on the night of a full moon. It doesn't have to make sense.
It doesn't have to be good. It just exists, because it can.
