Wacom wireless kit

Been debating on whether I should get a Wacom wireless kit. I've seen the reviews on Amazon, but I'm still not sure...does anyone have one? If so, how does it work, for you? Do you like it? Does the battery last as long as advertised? Would you recommend getting one?

I have a wacom tablet that has a wireless option, however it would need batteries. With that in mind (even if the batteries are rechargeable) there will bound to be problems down the line where my tablet is out of power, so I would have to wait for batteries. Or, because it will likely be used with bluetooth, there might be connection problems down the line.

The only problem with the chord really is that there's a chord, and if you don't have a lot of room for a chord it can be a cluster of wires. But that's really the only problem. I can live with that.

I want to get one so that when I finally get my studio space set up I can scribble on my tablet without having to worry about the cord being in my way, but I dont wanna be in a situation where the battery goes bad(like in cellphones), and I end up having to order and wait for a new one( I guess that would be one good reason for keeping the cord around). Pros & cons, I guess.

I remember when I was looking for a new tablet I saw that the intuos had wireless option and I thought that was pretty cool. I then saw some reviewers complaining about the wireless being separate and the wire being too short for them and I was pretty concerned at first, I mean in the pictures everything looked fine to me but I know sometimes those aren't always accurate.

When I finally got it (as a birthday gift lucky me ) I opened the box and found the wire mor then long enough for my needs and didn't see what all the complaining was about. I honestly don't see the point in needing a wireless set up unless your future studio set up will be kinda difficult with a wire or if you have a desktop (of which I can understand why that would be difficult if your planned studio is anything like my desktop at home)

I have a wireless kit for the intuos, unfortunately I can't tell you about the longevity of the battery as I have not used it consistently enough to figure out how long the battery lasts - however you do get an extra battery within the wireless kit and if you have an intuos, it already has a battery so...you get two batteries in total.

The wireless signal is fine, I've drawn from my bed (4 feet? from my desk) before using the wireless kit with no lag at all - and I doubt you're going to be drawing from a distance further than that considering you still kinda need to be looking at what you're doing on the monitor.

To ''install' the wireless kit, you have to open a tab under the intuos, pull out this usb-looking thing, put in the wireless kit, and voila - cordless tablet. however, this might just be me, but you can't use the cord and the wireless kit at the same time. It's not that it stops you from doing so, but if you have driver backups and your driver fails, those backups are NOT going to work while you're using both the cord and kit.

I'd only recommend it if you travel a lot. I only got the wireless kit because it became a hassle to constantly disconnect and reconnect my tablet cord to my desktop every time I went on a trip or took my tablet to school. Other than that, I don't use it much.

Well I have a desktop AND a laptop. I wanted to start working on my desktop more(it moves/processes kind of faster than my laptop) especially since I bought a 24" monitor. Right now my current setup is okay, but I need more space to draw.

then w wireless will probably be best for you because it might be a bit awkward to work with.

Personally, I don't recommend it. The battery recharging takes about the same time as it lasts (even if the specs say something different) so you'll have to have it plugged in half of the time anyways. It also caused some driver problems, but that might have been because Windows7 and Wacom drivers have never been friends.
When I got the wireless kit with my new tablet, I thought it was awesome because I also use a laptop and the cables get in the way, but soon I found the hassle with the cables is considerably better than with the wireless kit.

I bought the kit and its working wonders with me specially since the cable that came with my wacom was too short for me, and I'm not a big fan of cables.
I would recommend!

Well as an update, I just recently upgraded to Windows 10, so...

has anyone who has Win 10 had any issues with the wireless kit?
