what do you think of the two legged design I drew. I was trying to go for menacing and lone warrior type. Here, Imma paste a description I wrote about it (its a long read, but I think it explains my stance on the creatures), let me know your thoughts...
Ardgents are giant humanoid dragon creatures. They are separated into two types, Snow and Ash. These two types began to differ a lot in their appearance as the years went by. In the beginning, they looked almost identical, but as they took more separate paths their evolution began to reflect those paths. Snow Ardgents are smaller in size to Ash and they have smaller eyes as well. They still have horns but instead of scales, they have developed more of a thick layer of skin which protects from the extreme cold. They also have crystals growing on their bodies. Snow Ardgents have more snow shoe type feet to help with walking and their wings are shaped more like mitts then claws which helps with shoveling snow.
Ash Ardgents have bigger eyes and are more physically bigger than their counterparts. They also have scaly skin on top of their thin layer of skin which helps to protect them from burns and hyperthermia. They also cover themselves in Molten lava as a way of keeping the dead insects and germs off of them, since they hate water. Their feet are more hooved and appropriate for walking on top of jagged rocks and burning hot plates. Their wings also look way more like claws which helps with picking up rocks and digging and are slightly longer. And of course, both types of Ardgents have horns though the Snow Ardgents horns are less sharp.
Ardgents are some of the more extinct creatures on the planet because they were mostly wiped out by the elves a long time ago. Along with the Titans, they used to be known as the most threatening because of their short fuse and immense power. In present day, there are only 9 Ardgents remaining along with their three eggs. 5 Snow Ardgents and 4 Ash Ardgents along with the Ash Ardgents two eggs to the Snow Ardgents one egg. Both types of Ardgents reproduce through eggs and have female and male forms as well. Although, Ardgents are not the most family-oriented creatures, they have adapted to keeping their family members close for fear of going extinct. This does not however mean that they travel in groups or do things together. They are still very much an individual society; they just keep tabs on the others. Ardgents life-spans are also significantly longer than those of elves and most other creatures, except the Titans.
Both types of Ardgents are infamous hotheads. Snow Ardgents are more internal anger while the Ash are external. Snow Ardgents have learned to keep their anger in the inside which is just as bad because they do allow it to boil up so when they get angry, they attack with more ferocity then the Ash Ardgents. Ash Ardgents are constantly angry and always attacking and destroying things. Their anger is also what caused them to separate as they have different ways of calming down. Ash Ardgents calm down with raging music and noise while Snow Ardgents calm down with calm sounds and music. This disagreement obviously caused a rift in the Ardgents long ago which made them split into the two different clans.
Besides their anger, Ardgents are relatively normal creatures. They usually stay in their respective homes and just sleep about all day barely hunting and just (if they have servants) enjoying their company. In rare occasions, they do go hunt for food (but if they have servants, they have them do that for them) and tillage other creatures. And on even more rare occasions they will move homes (rare because they are largely sedentary creatures).
Ever since their early days, Ardgents have evolved to become more sedentary and smarter in the ways they obtain their supplies. They now engage in trades with other creatures and people outside of Roo as a means of keeping themselves safe and intact. Because they realized that now elves are becoming incredibly hard to deal with (especially with their weapons now). They usually send their servants to trade for musical instruments to keep them calm (trading away either the snow Ardgents crystals or the ash Ardgents scales, which are really valuable). Although, since they still are some of the stronger creatures in Roo and have anger issues, they are still known to go crazy if something doesn’t happen their way and destroy things.
The Ardgents relationship with their servants is special because even though Ardgents are not known to show emotions, they do genuinely care about their servants who get the food and keep them calm with musical performances. Though they are also harsh on their servants and do kill them accidentally at times and other times on purpose. They aren’t ones to let servants go, they are brutal about it and kill them because they feel that “if I can’t have you nobody can” type feeling towards them. It is a truly weird relationship.
Ardgents have typical dragon abilities such as breathing ice or fire, but they also use their tails as offensive weapons, being able to lift things with it. They also have armored bone plates on their skin which makes them really durable and hard to hit and kill instantly. Not to mention their large sharp teeth.
