Hey, I finished what you had so far, and I really like it!
First off, banger intro. That stuff made me think! I can already see the themes from this novel: corruption, human greed, selfishness vs. benefiting society, etc.
The concept is really interesting. It gives something like Hunger Games or Divergent or any dystopian novel in the future. I can tell you put a lot of effort into the worldbuilding. I can see you with like a timeline and everything mapping out what events happened and when
. The concept is intriguing and the events seem very realistic for the situation they're in.
The narrator is sassy, and I like that. The towers seem to be the antagonist here, and that's really interesting. It's like society vs. nature... in an ironic sense.
These are some critiques. You can choose to follow them or not, whatever floats your boat
. I'm not a professional writer ;-;
It feels a bit like an info dump.
Authors tend to reveal elements of their world through dialogue and throughout the story. They usually don't dump everything in the beginning. I get your world is so extensive, and it's an intriguing concept. However, I feel the narrator could possibly be having a conversation with someone or walking around the scene and describing the setting instead of telling the reader everything that's going on. Also, I might reveal these things as the story progresses. It gets more emotional when the character is relating the dystopia to their internal conflict.
It's more showing, not telling
I think the narrator is telling every detail to us. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but this can disengage readers. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy knowing what's going on and I like the concept. Just, I feel there's a more engaging way to describe the world. Maybe sprinkle in some imagery or figurative language!
No characterization yet
I know it's your beginning. But I would like to know the narrator's name or some more things about them. Internal conflict is the drive to a successful hook for a story, and I think we need to see how the main protagonist relates to the world a bit more.
Besides that, I really like it, and I'll keep reading! This story has lots of potential! Maybe there's some technical things to learn about writing. But honestly, just have fun. And don't take anything I say too seriously. I'm not a professional and these are just my opinions.
I subscribed and I'll continue reading!

This one's a bit more of a media commentary channel, but nonetheless I learn a lot
