doing well! still in the process of migrating my book to tapas! how are you doing?

me too ;-;
i didn't know it would need this much work eek

I'm good as well. just a little anxious about this whole new process with tapas ;-;

i was nervous too but I'm actually had more success here than on wattpad. And i think it has a lot to do with the forums and algorithm.

yeah cutting down my work has been rough... oooof

that's good to hear and i have been looking around the forums trying to see some tips and tricks on getting activity and stuff. do you have any tips for getting your book out there on tapas?

vbsdhvbhsdbsd don't even mention it ;-;
I've never edited a novel this much and it's not fun right now

I definitely advertise on the forum and I also make sure to have multiple updates in a week.
Hopefull that helps you.

seriously the worst!

anytime! i'm also interested in doing a sub for sub when you post your book!

That... is actually not cool. If there is a place on the web that's a jerk I just leave and go find somewhere else, not hack the website and get innocent ppl involved :expressionless:. Also, if that's the kind of users on there, then I don't really want to be associated with them at all. I think I am going to close my wattpad soon as I am not comfortable with the news about the mods, the security issues and these users.

yeah, i used to be an OP for a series for undiscovered writers on WP and constantly, we would get our threads closed just for new people self-advertising (which isn't allowed in any other section except one). and let me point out the fact that these people on the forums were new. Instead blaming the new people for breaking the rules, maybe the mods should've made the forums rules a little more accessible. we proposed that to them and all they did was close our discussion down.

like damn
don't need to do a whole community like that o-o

I remember one time on WP I was part of this big group, and then I went offline for a day. I came back and like the whole gang just disbanded. One of them created a new thread and was basically telling almost everyone from the original group to stay out. I was just like …???? What did I miss??? I still have no idea what happened, but that was...interesting?

I actually used Wattpad forums more than the website. Because let's face it, writing on Wattpad as someone new or with less followers, unless you advertise aggressively, is basically writing into the void. There was a thread for Indian writers where some dude came into the thread and advertised his work. When we told him the rules of the forum (the rules Wattpad has, not our rules, as you know), he started arguing and calling people names. One of the users, a nice guy I'll call M, snapped and called him a name back. M only made one comment, but he was suspended. Later, his account was permanently deleted. M was a guy that actually worked hard on his novel about sports, which was quite good. He ended up going to Inkitt. The whole way the website dealt with it was ridiculous.

Yeah, things were not so great on WP...but hopefully that person has better luck with Inkitt!

Plenty stayed despite the issues and tried chatting and all that, some even made lots of friends but since things were closed and communities kinda dispatched... Hell those people were really loyal to Wattpad but if that's how they treat their loyalty it's...eh, kinda obvious it's bad.
Despite the ignorance of the mods, people tried reaching even to HQ and support team but still nothing, so the issue was brought before actual owners too, and that triggered the consequences.

Unfortunately, I don't think he has. I feel like Inkitt is more a site for already established writers on Wattpad. They take their fans over to the new site, but I don't think it's a place for people starting out fresh. Unless they're writing werewolf romance or something.

Hola,

I removed some post that contain the name of a mod of another site. They're not on this forum and I have no interest in bringing drama from another site here. We also have a rule against topics that focus on other websites only, but since there is clearly a need for you to have a place to chat with one another, I will keep them up for now.

Feel free to vent, but please do so without being disrespectful or using usernames of people who aren't here. The tapas forums, first and foremost, require users to be kind and accepting to one another.

Other than that, have fun!

Still on Wattpad. It’s almost funny how a lot of people are moving sites. Can’t wait to see more novels being published over here!
