Wattpad Refugees ;-;

Is there anyone whose coming over here to tapas from the Wattpad incident? I am a fellow Wattpader who goes by the same username on both tapas and Wattpad.

I've seen a couple here. What happened over there? I've never used the site before.

Well, there were a two things. (Or at least this is what I think and know.) So wattpad closed down their forums because there was a problem with the moderation of the threads. Some threads were being closed for no reason by some moderators.

I think another reason why (idk) is because of something happening with the users’ information. Somehow data had been accessed, including email addresses, and birth date and gender.

Here as well. Such a sad thing that happened I just hate that Wattpad is literally removing the place where people promote their stories and meet new friends without a replacement.

Although Tapas is my main platform I've been cross-posting to Wattpad for awhile. Over the last few weeks, I'd been using the site more and enjoying the forums. I can't believe they keep pretending to care about smaller writers after making the decision to delete the forums. Between the data breach, increased glitches and shutting the forums the site is no longer fun. I want some feedback from the awards I've entered but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to keep posting to the site.

For the first time, I was actually starting to enjoy my time there

I've been on Wattpad since 2013 but I've been looking up this site before the issue on the Forums. I was reluctant because mine story is not a popular genre and it is not a comic. But the forum shut down kind of pushed me here too. They said they will bring back the forum but I think no one knows when. It's rare to find people who kind of get you. If that is the proper term. Needed to talk to, or at least watch running conversations on writing.

i was nervous too but I'm actually had more success here than on wattpad. And i think it has a lot to do with the forums and algorithm.

I definitely advertise on the forum and I also make sure to have multiple updates in a week.
