I cannot, I already subscribed to that foxy story. I finally read Chapter 1 last night.

This thread made me curious, however, about the book in last place. I checked out Sedation by CharliesKorner. I quickly read three chapters. It's not bad. There is a little confusion in Chapter 2 about which character is which but nothing deal breaking. The thing is that it uses a lot of eroticism (R rated Skinimax level stuff). I wasn't in the mood for that. I subscribed regardless and might go back to finish reading the rest later.

Are there any books in the Camp which are criminally underrated by subscriber count? No self-promotion, please. Also please don't light a fire underneath a dark horse close enough to knock Peni out of top two spots. (Wow, that was a grotesque mixed metaphor.)

Probably, although I can't say which. I'm pretty sure when this started, readers found a couple they wanted to read and didn't bother looking for more. I wouldn't imagine many people read more than one book at a time regularly. But that's just my opinion.

I feel like I missed something, I'm not sure what the drama is.

But @Peni definitely deserves to win! I always see her around the forums supporting people (and I don't know how I hadn't subscribed to her story before, but have definitely remedied that error!)

God knows I'm going to be checking the list of entries every couple of hours still, so fingers crossed she keeps her top spot.

I'm sure there is some confusion here so I will hopefully provide a proper explanation of @faighta feelings here. There has been some concern that there has been some unfairness in regards to the Writers Camp has played out, primarily concentrated around advertising outside of Tapas to gain subscribers. This happened with one participant who was removed from the Camp but then re-entered because there are no rules stating that this can't be done. Some feel that there has been an abuse of this loophole and could potentially cause someone to rise in the ranks strictly from "moving the masses" rather than the content of their work. Which could also be insulting to all the participants who have been working hard on their entries.

I have mixed feelings about this. (This being promotion outside Tapas.) I feel like bots and/or fake accounts should definitely be considered cheating, but if a writer, say, brings in their squad from Wattpad or something I feel like that's legit. It's a bit sad for other participants but it's kind of like how established singers sometimes participate in The Voice? And like Beau mentioned, if the quality is clearly lacking Tapas will take that into account.

@ratscout It's not over! Don't forget there are two staff pick winners as well.

Props to @Peni though for being a great sport, being super supportive of other writers throughout the camp, and for writing 25 chapters!!! Girl you are on FIRE (meanwhile the rest of us barely made it through 10... XD)

edit: ok now that I look at it I think a lot of people actually wrote more than 10, so by the rest of us I mean me LOL
