Hello forums We're new here, we have started posting here during the weekend after experiencing some trouble with our main platform, Webtoons... We're trying to diversify and come up with solutions, but we'd really like to know what the heck is going on! o__O It seems so sudden and.. odd!
So here's what's going on. We launched last March and while we're not the biggest comic out there, we've had steady growth on Webtoons gaining new subscribers every Monday when we update a new page and doing a little bit better with views every month. We got up to about 1380 subs and a steady 2500 US views per update and suddenly it just STOPPED and all started falling apart at an alarming rate. One week we had our usual 2500, the next we got 1200... and the next it was 800, then 400. It started about 2 months ago and these days we're averaging 300-400 views per update. Mind you that's with 1380 subscribers still, that means that 2/3 of our own subscribers are suddenly not even viewing our pages anymore! D:
We don't know what could have caused this: about 2 months ago we were finishing up chapter 2 amidst high excitement and jumped right into chapter 3. We still get comments from our regulars and they still seem to like it just as much as usual. We launched excerpts, which are bonus tidbits of info about the world and its races. So as far as content we don't understand why we would just tank so suddenly and so drastically...
Has anyone had similar problems lately? Is there some changes at Webtoons that we're not aware of like changing up their system or algorithm or something? Anything that could explain this? :o I'd love to hear your insights on this, it's been driving us nuts and it's frankly quite discouraging...
Thanks in advance!
