Weird and or interesting proverbs or sayings from your country

Title explains it all, so I'll just post a few from Finland (These might be more southern, since most of my family has lived in the south for generations. Also some of these will be quite crude, as finnish people were and are absolute peasants :D)

"Iltatähti"

Lit. translation is "Evening star", however it also means the last child of a couple that's born considerably later than the couple's other children, usually born when the couple is quite old.

"Juosten kusten tehty"

Lit. Translation is "Made whilst running and peeing simultaneusly". It means that something was made in a great rush and suffered in quality because of it.

"Ei tuu lasta eikä paskaa"

Lit. Translation is "There won't be a child nor a log of shit born out of this" . It means that the finished product of what you are currently working on will be subpar/bad, or that it won't ever come to fruition.

"Pyörii ku puolukka perseessä"

or it's variation

"Pyörii ku hullun mulkku"

Lit. Translation of the first one "Goes around like a lingonberry in your ass", second one " Goes round and round like the dick of a lunatic". Both mean something is going in circles, literal or abstract.

Means - it looks like it’s going to rain. I’m off home.

In Chile we have this saying:

"Todas las micros le sirven"

which translated means, any bus works for them.
This saying means that the person has low/no standards for chosing couples

Ni v pizdu, ni v Krasnuyu Armiyu
Literally "Not in the c*nt, not in the Red Army" - something/someone being absolutely worthless, irrelevant. Comes from the riddle, the answer to which is "an impotent man with flat feet"

It basically means let's move on to the most important part of the conversation.

Probably one of my favorite Dutch sayings has got to by "kut met peren" which translates to "P*ssy/c*nt with pears" to describe a rather inconvenient situation.

Well in dutch we do sometimes say Het regent pijpenstelen which means it rains pipe stems.
I think rain would be even more unpleasant if pipe stems actually rained down instead of water drops xD

Looking it up, the saying is the same as "it rains cats and dogs" in english

Mexican saying:
"Esa muchacha me cae gorda!" for feminine or "Ese muchacho me cae gordo" for masculine.

Basically means that "I don't like them" but I always find it funny that it can be literally translated to: "That person trips me fat" or "That persons makes me fall fat" or something to that effect xD

"Cada quien haga de su culo un papalote"
Meaning: Just leave people be, man!

The literal meaning it's: Each one makes a kite out of their ass

That was the weirdest one that comes to mind, sorry if it's a little vulgar.

In philly (a city near me) we have a word called "Jawn".

Jawn is a special word. It usually means "Thing" but can also be used to describe a person, a place, a concept, or really anything at all.

That cup of tea you've been forgetting about for the past hour? That's a jawn. The keyboard I'm using to type this? Also a jawn. The existential dread that we get at 4 in the morning? You better believe that's a jawn.

Jawn can also be used as a modifier if you want to be specific. for example: "Hey, ca you pass me one of those donut-jawns?"

It's a very special word, and I love it.

Where I grew up the "cat" was understood to be a catfish. While one scales most fish for pan-frying, a catfish has no scales & so the skin is peeled or pulled off instead.
