just recently binged Interspecies Reviewers... I now understand why they were having airing issues with it (its on a very thin edge between a very very explicit anime and being straight up hentai. BE WARNED!!). the actual plot is interesting though but then again if I'm committed to watching episode 1, I'll watch the rest for sure.

another i just finished is Komi can't Communicate. it was too adorable. i was dying in the adorableness. it was so adorable i even up and bought the first 2 vols of the manga

sadly i finished those so I'm not currently watching any anime (i dont usually watch anime, i'm more a manga person)

Currently been watching Ranking of Kings, its gone places I didn't expect.

Finished Blue Period which really struck home with me with how people relate with art and the struggles of getting into a university.

Looking forward to seeing Belle in the cinemas next month.

I binged Blue Period in a day, yesterday. It was sooooooo goooooooood!!!!!! Got me cheering, crying and invested in a way not even the best do most of the time.

I was honestly surprised, drama anime / school life genres aren't normally my cup of tea. (I like my fantasy / horror stuff). But this felt so raw and earnest, really going into depth on the struggles of being a creative. My family were not too pleased I chose to do art at uni instead of a more "job garented role", so that part hit home with me.

Currently watching:

  • Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean
  • Ranking of Kings Season 2
  • SuperCrooks

Watching two: Sasaki to Miyano and Hakozume: Kouban Joshi no Gyakushuu

Just started Eighty Six sfter reading the first volume of the light novel, love it

Jojo's the only thing I watch nowadays aside from mech stuff. And even then I'm only doing the mech stuff should I ever want to do a mech webcomic and I think the chances for that are small.

The only other Shonen I finished were Death Note, Assassanation Classroom, and The Disastorous Life of Saiki K (which I HIGHLY recommend. That show is funny af).

I tried getting into My Hero Academia but I hopped out since the interesting thing to me about comic books is the cosmic side. I'm talkin' Silver Surfer, Galactus, New Gods, all that jazz. I'll come back if they ever dip their toes into that. People say we already got Dragon Ball, but I want to get into the freakier side.

Like we know Deku becomes the greatest superhero ever but like.... what if he's talking about the universe?:

Watching the latest episodes of Boruto, Yashahime, and Demon Slayer...

Anything after Zero wasn't the same for me. Like Do You Remember Love is the perfect anime movie. Plus was the perfect anime sequel where the director predicts the future about idol culture and how everything will be more manufactured/cult like in the industry?

Also keep in mind Macross created the whole concept of the idol. At least, a fictional one, so Macross: Do You Remember Love/The Original series introducing the world to idols while Plus is like "Back-up! We should probably discuss the ramifications" and just NAILING it is so fitting (also Walter White voices the protagonist).

Meanwhile Zero's like "Let's take it back, strip things down, and show you the beauty of song on a religious level" which is admirable af.

I've only seen one episode of Macross 7, but I got down with a lot of the aspects and the whole concept of music not working anymore is hilarious.

I am bummed out that Macross II isn't canon (and in an alternate universe) anymore because I love the concept of aliens being like "AW YEAH SON. WE'RE UNSTOPPABLE WITH MUSIC/CULTURE! LET'S WEAPONIZE IT! CULTURE WARS SON!". Like every species went through their own "Do You Remember Love?".

I can't get down with Frontier and Delta. The franchise turned into what Plus warned against and I can't get down with it. I heard Frontier was really great? But the new artstyle wasn't killin' it.

They restored the Orguss timeline tho which is great.

so I finished Supercrooks yesterday. I have to be honest the series is amazing and it surprises me that not many people are talking about it. I must say is WAY better than it's comic counterpart, the animation is really good (By Studio Bones) and the plot and story is well constructed.

I really liked it, because it reminds me of Tiger & Bunny with all the funny and diverse characters but with the twist that these are villains instead of heroes. If I had to do the "evil meme", if I turn Kotetsu Kaburagi's image and put a negative filter on it, Jhonny Bolt is what'll come out lmao. It is also like Great Pretender, but without the crazy twist of the finale and way more satisfying... and violent.
