I've just recently been able to start accessing cellphone app games!! The world is vast! lol
I was wondering what are some of your favorite app games to fuel your procrastination? Do you get inspiration from some of them?
Personally I go back and forth on if I have to be present in the game, or if I can AFK it. If it has an auto-battle function, I use it. Here's some of the games I've played. One thing that'll keep me in a game is the music and ease of being able to abandon it for a few days to a week or more without losing "progress".
KAI-RI-SEI Million Arthur (JP) - card battle game, interesting co-op missions, was super fast and easy to get into, gacha wasn't painful, a lot of fun to burn through stamina a few times a day. They discontinued play for the PS4 and accounts don't connect to phones it looks like, and it looks like the game is on the way out.. OTL
PSO2es (JP only)- second game I got. It's gacha is possessed by the devil, and it's battles are non-automated, but it's a lot of fun
Idola (JP only)- this is another PSO-universe game. gacha is back and forth, not too hard to use the free currency, AI has an IQ to a degree, it's overall pretty easy right now to get into it since it's still within it's first 2 years. story is super interesting, almost no need to farm for EXP items. there's a few "limited" characters where if you miss their initial run, it looks like you miss them forever, but they have re-run their in-universe limited characters again before (unlikely for the SnK collab which just finished)
Final Fantasy: record keeper - gacha's odd, lots of microtransactions, play on a half-stamina time, can't get in invested into the plot really, but the overall game is brainless to get through until you hit level-cap walls. not a lot of guides which leads to frustration, and some characters are locked out
Final Fantasy: opera omnia dissidia thingie - AI is dumb as soup, gacha can go back and forth since it also demands micro transactions, pretty fun as story has no stamina-lock. another case of locked out characters
Food Fantasy - cuteness overload omg, please tell me someone else plays this game. lots of stamina locks, gacha can be done two ways for free, not a high demand so far for micro transactions. i picked this one up about a week ago. it DOES have a 21-day event for when you first join to get a special character that's pretty hard to get otherwise from my impression of googling it. game actually has a few decent wikis and guides.
Ragnarok Online Mobile - so first there's apparently several versions you can download, SEA or global. I'm on global. some channels are really busy, but some arent. stamina lock isn't obvious and instead based on battle time, you can AFK battle to grind (lots of bots or people doing it, which is why so many channels exist), it's a remake/port of the original game so it's a full MMO which can be apparently heavy on cellphones. oddly most guides for this exist on youtube.
