What apps do you use/ have you used to make your comics?

I am a beginner when it comes to making web comics and I personally use Krita and found that it can get the job done when it comes to the basics, but that's really the only drawing app I have any experience with. For those with more experience than me. What drawing apps have you used and which ones have worked the best for you?

Clip Studio Paint. I also use Photoshop for coloring/FX and Illustrator for lettering, but I use CSP to do the majority of my heavy lifting(page layout, pencils, inks, other FX).

clip studio paint is really great for comics! its a one-time buy, and they have sales really often when its just $25. unlike photoshop, its built from the ground up for comics and illustration, which is really beneficial.

ive also used paint tool SAI, which is pretty great for what it is and also pretty cheap.

a lot of people in the industry use photoshop, and if you have a chance to get your hands on it (through school, work, a conveniently placed crack) its worth getting to grips with and it has a lot of advantages as a software, but it is priceeeeey

I also recommend CSP for comics and general digital painting, but if you're looking for another free program, I recommend Medibang paint. It has settings for print comics, is easy to use and get used to, and has much more convenient cloud saving than CSP does (in my opinion). It's also available on multiple devices and systems, so if you can't work on something on your computer, you can save it to the cloud and draw on a tablet or phone if you need to!
There's also Firealpaca (from the same devs as Medibang, so they use the same file type). Switching files between the two programs is easy, but you can't save directly to the cloud from there, and FA is only available on computers. To me, adding text in FA is slightly easier than in medibang.

Idk man, I only able to use this or either ibis paint since I only draw with my phone but Medibang is the better one for me.

Only one that I’ve liked for comics is Clip Studio. It’s much easier to use from my own experience. I have Photoshop CS6 which I use only for text, filters, some light editing, and converting things to PDF/CMYK. Drawing is not a thing I like in Photoshop (again, just from my experience).

Some people have also used Photoshop Elements which is cheaper than CS6 and CC. It’s a one time payment, but I don’t have firsthand experience with it. Might just be good for editing.

I always use Clip Studio Paint. I really recommend it. Using it and drawing directly onto a tablet or touch screen is the best good luck !!

100% Photoshop CS6

Like I have CSP on my other computer, but I've found I like it better for digital painting simply for how their brushes blend. They really need to upgrade their text tool though.

Mine is different. I only use Keynote (Apple Power Point)
It is a Dogme I have and give some good challenges and give some surprise results.

i use Paint Tool SAI for art, which i supper reccomend! it’s really simple and easy to grasp, and has a lot of options without being overbearing.

since i have the old version i use photoshop for text only. i have it for cleaning work + i used to do editing work, but i don’t actually reccomend photoshop for art lol

I use CLIPSTUDIO Paint EX for all the drawings and edition

Autodesk 3DS Max for 3D modeling, because I use 3D on some BGs and CSP have a pretty nice 3D support

This with a Dell PC and the cheapest wacom tablet, One by Wacom. :v

I'm using Artrage for everything. Not very comic friendly but I'm so comfortable with it that I'm not ready to change. I have clip studio paint and may use it later on for the paneling.. maybe.

Medibang Paint and FireAlpaca, both free and have been enough for me for the past few years. Being able to add/make my own brushes has also been a nice addition. I do own and use Photoshop CS6 but that's typically for filters or text tools not provided in the other two programs.

Hi I'm one of those artists that mains the GIMP mecha. Its freeware and very flexible in tweaking its tools to do all sorts of things.
