Dec 2020

Hmmm lets see...

*Hitting 100 Tapas subs
* Getting my second comic off the ground
* Loose weight (generic I know but last 4 months I've been hit with some serious gut issues so I can't even bend TmT)
*Get mystery illness fixed
*Better sleep routine
*Learn to drive

Though it took me six months to find a job post-grad (I'm starting next week), I can't even imagine the frustration/stress of losing a job of 15 years — I'm so sorry. I'm sending you best wishes, and I'm hoping you get hired soon!!!

These are great goals, and I'm sure you will accomplish them all!!! Congrats also on your weight lost — I'm glad you're continuing towards your health and wellness goals

Thank you. We knew it was inevitable with all the COVID shut downs but we were really hoping they could find a way to keep things going. But unfortunately they just couldn't survive. Watching my boss in tears as she called all our clients was heartbreaking. As hard as it is for me to leave my job of 15 years, she's owned this business for 31 years and just like that it was gone.

Congrats on your new job!

Thanks. I’ve taken the craziness of this year as an impetus to start remaking my life. Going after the things I want and trying to be the person I want to be.

That's awesome that you're starting new endeavors with Twitch + YouTube!! And I think your comic drawing goal is achievable and I know you can do it!! :+1:

Great goals — I love your current comic so ik you'll reach 100 soon !!!! Omg and I also want to get my license lol

Uhhh.. Goals, goals, goals...

  • I wanna kick off some music production stuff alongside a Patreon and Ko-fi once I get my financial stuff sorted out! It's the closest thing to a career that I'll be able to accomplish in my life lol gotta get paid

  • Fully completed comic script and hopefully the art as well (that's not up to me though, that's up to the artist lol) by the end of the year. This forum knows I been stuck in pre-production forever lmao

  • Improve my mental and physical health?? I'm not at my best, but I'm like sorta content with where I'm at. Could always be better I guess so why not lol

Going in a new direction is always frightening, but I feel like if you trust your gut, you'll be happy/content with the results you get. I enjoy following your work so keep doing a great job into the new year!!!

My goals are to do what I was supposed to do in 2020, before I got quarantined for 8 months.

-get a better job or start another degree in either something else art or education related
-get more freelance work in what is closer to my endgame (possibly get back into Patreon?)
-move.......somewhere.......figuring that out. Mostly I want a change of location.
-start posting my next comic (if there's time)
-Take a language class--I've been learning Japanese on my own and it's time to just take a class in it. I want to one day be able to read art books.

honestly just make it, tbh. 2020 has been a ride so as long as i wake up and the world is still intact that'd be enough. but if i did have to set any then i guess it'd be:

  • continue to let myself experiment with art
  • get back into working on my comics and find a comfortable workflow
  • finally give myself the time to have fun and work on my au comics because i deserve it
  • sleep
  • go outside more. just sit under a tree and smell the air (i miss the sun)

other than that tho i'm chillin

I would love to:

-Finish up my master's degree
-Finish my manuscript for traditional publishing
-revise my self-pub story Inheritance
-start the 3rd part of Inheritance
-finish up my other two self-pub stories
-Get another short story published
-attain the skills needed to further my career in psychology.
-Gain a consistent audience for my writing.

  • Don't die
  • Get this novel published (the same thing we do every year, Pinky. Try to publish a novel!)
  • Draft another novel
  • Write at least 6 short stories
  • start a new webcomic?
  • read 20 books
  • watch 50 movies
  • find an artist to collaborate with

Wishing you best of luck with all of your goals, and it's so cool to see so many people on this thread dedicated to learning Japanese!!

YES to chilling!! While working towards goals is important, I think it's also important to relax and rest — especially from everything that's happened in 2020.

xD When I make a list of goals for the next year, I am always happy when I complete at least one ^^ I stopped thinking that if I didn't complete more, I had failed somehow. Little victories are steps towards improvement uwu

My goals for 2021:
1. Exercise more
2. Continue eating well
3. Read more books (I haven't sat down and read a book/novel, on the web or physical book since last year Dx)
4. Reach 70-90 episodes of Paw Print Promise  (possibly take a break and make a buffer)
5. Start or finish creative projects I didn't do or finish this year, finish them if I can next year
6. Practice drawing backgrounds more.
7. Learn one new skill!

I hope the best for all of us next year. Much love everyone

(Thanks for inviting me to this topic @Golden_Acorn)

  1. Stay Healthy-- Body, Mind & Soul
  2. Stay Commited and keeping the excitement to my series
  3. Finish Act 1
  4. Getting Patrons

Yeah I just want to be able to read my twitter feed. There's some pretty incredible artists on there and I'm tired of being illiterate youknow?
