What art software you used to make your comic/art?

I use Photoshop, mostly because I use it for work outside of comics. My files are also pretty big and Clip not only saves PNG's much larger than Photoshop, (and for as much as Adobe sucks, they are the best at compressing file size) and Clip crashes too much when I use it, probably because I'm queen of adding too many layers and huge ass brushes. I do have Clip and I use it for some things, I just don't like the feel of it, despite using it for years and years. So, everyone's different. Especially if your files are smaller, Clip can work really good for you although it's been a pain in the ass for me.

I use Clip Studio Ex for everything, though I used to use Photoshop CS6. I do wish Clip would improve their text tool and compression rates though

I use Photoshop, I'm too lazy to learn any new software, and I have some nice brushes saved for photoshop

What if I told you that you can now import your PS brushes to Clip Studio?

It's true...in their update in December they introduced that feature.

@ninjashira same process. I pencil/ink in Clip Studio, color & FX mostly in Photoshop but toggle back to CSP for some FX features, then letter in Illustrator.

I use an old version of Photoshop. I do also own Clip Studio which is fine but I feel is lacking in features I use a lot in Photoshop. If you don't have any software and you are mostly doing comics/illustrations, I would recommend getting Clip Studio. It's cheaper and it often goes on sale.

As a person who has worked with many drawing softwares, I would say, for general digital art and illustration I would go with Photoshop and procreate as a second option, but for comics I highly recommend using csp ex at it's full, it comes with great features that make the work easier also in this new update it has a "webtoon" feature that is really useful.
Imo Brush sensitivity (not the air brush this is shiet) in csp is way better that many other softwares, so, for those who use multiple softwares for little things that can be done in one I would recommend to explore one at it's fullest and stick to it it saves time(important for comic artists)of course always taking into account what are you creating

I've tried using Medibang pro, but my computer always did a weird, glitching thing. So then I opted for CSP— didn't work, mostly because I'm broke as hell. But over the past 2 years, I've learned to navigate and use Firealpaca, and now I use it for basically everything now. Lol.

In my humble opinion, it's not solely about the software's abilities, but yours - to an overwhelming extent. So pick any, and adjust yourself to it

Overall I use Ibis paint to make my comic then would use Autodesk to draw backgrounds

And I like how it turns out at the end

I work on Clip Studio like practically everyone else here, but if you're creating yours with a Trackpad, then honestly? I recommend you go with a vector program like Illustrator or Inkscape. Go check out a comic like The Order of the Stick to see an example. It's super simplistic and light on detail, but a vector-based program allows for clean lines and shapes really easily no matter what your hardware looks like. Also Order of the Stick is just a really well-told comedy/action story that people should read.
