Watch some comfort shows. shows you've seen a million times but could watch forever. For most people its stuff like The Office. For me it's animated comedies like Futurama (NOT THE DOG EPISODE), Bob's Burgers, etc.
Smoke something that may be illegal where you live so that's all I'll say.
Or for a head-clearing destress take a walk with some headphones and music.
I write poetry. I used to do this as a way of venting since I was like 8 years old, and now it's completely absorbed my being. I write poetry when I'm sad, I write poetry for work, I write poetry that definitely spills into my prose even when it's technically not supposed to be poetry. (I had someone tell me "Damsel in the Red Dress" was 'too much like poetry,' and I don't know whether to be happy or worried tbh )
Listen to music, play games, going to the gym, imagine complex music videos while listening to music that I'll never animate, play with my cats, take a nap, watch some classic vines, fold laundry
Draw, write, read, meditate, pray
I relate to the imagining music videos part, both imagining things happening to music and imagining art iāll never actually be able to make.
Listening to music, eating, playing WZ, drawing (because my level of drawing is always minimal level and strictly as a hobby), and pretend shopping for shit I can't afford in my lifetime lol
Walks and bike rides around the neighbourhood, or getting lost in a relaxing video game. My favourite relaxing games are in the Monster Hunter series ā I donāt know how, but those games make a dogfight with a skyscraper-sized behemoth feel strangely serene.
Watching my fav shows with my fav comfort food.
Going through woods, in which I live and read books But nature always tend to soothe me.
I draw, read, listen to music, go for walks, hunt, and fish. I wish I could write while stressed but I can't, and unfortunately I'm falling way behind because of this.
Which, of course, causes more stress.
I take a nice warm bath and just relax my body and mind. I find it works well for me. <3
