Since my comic is a western, I usually listen to Jerome Moross' Big Country on Spotify.
When drawing other things, I'm either listening to Suicide Squad soundtrack, Twenty One Pilots, or a random collage of songs I like. They could be bluegrass, 80's rock, punk rock, rap, outlaw country, dubstep...

I listen to the Doctor Who audio plays from Big Finish. They are full cast dramas starring the original actors from the 4th to the 10th Doctors, and they're fan-tastic!

It really depends on the mood of the day. It may be music, podcasts, let's plays (I prefer crews in this regard, co it's kinda like a podcast, coming to think about it); very rarely tv series or shows (in this case it's usually something i've seen for dozen of times, so that I don't need to actually watch it to follow. Actually I can list the only ones that I happen to listen to while working: QI, Top Gear, Mai Dire TV, Red Dwarf. That's all).

It depends sometime I listen to music other time I listen to podcasts.

I usually like to listen to heavy metal, usually the power/heavy/speed kind of stuff. It actually does help me concentrate and makes drawing mundane and boring stuff like backgrounds and trees more exciting.

I listen to chill Animal Crossing music, 8-bit tunes, Game Grumps videos, and true crime podcasts. Quite a strange mix but it works for me. >v<)b

When I was in high school and I ran late on delivering comic work (I was in a group that self published comic books sometimes) I got into a sort of ritual of putting on "Owner of a Lonely Heart" and listen to it in a loop until I was done. I think I've heard that song more than every other human on earth, excluding Yes perhaps

This month I've been really down so I can't start drawing without putting on the entire Weird Al Yankovic discography (I think my sister next room over hates me). I sing along, too...
When I'm in a normal mood I listen to national radio or programs from Youtube or Netflix.

If I'm writing, instrumental music or music that I've heard a million times. Things with words like podcasts or songs I don't recognise distract me while I write.

If I'm drawing, anything. Because I'm not worried about the words just yet.

I'm totally new here, and this seems like a pretty good place to kick in.
I tend to have specific playlists for my various comic projects. For example the 'soundtrack' to Slackman has always been very heavy on punk and hip hop. I have a long form story I'm working on about a time travelling heavy metal drummer, so needless to say I listen to a lot of metal and hardcore when I'm working on that. Another of my long form stories is initially set in the mid nineties so it's soundtrack consists of a lot of 'alternative' music from the era. I also have a journal comic I made when I was being treated for cancer, but the soundtrack to THAT was too depressing to mention.
Anyway... Hey, I'm Ryan, I guess that covers the question AND my introduction. I look forward to hanging out some more.
Peace

Melanie Martinez worked wonders for me the last few months when I had zero desire to draw.
I often just queue Spotify or one of my 8tracks playlists and go from there. There is a lot of pop and electronic dance music in there.

I listen to all types of music pretty much (all genres almost) and when i'm not in the mood for music, I listen to podcasts or scary stories on youtube ^^.

A lot of things. My preferred genres are rock'n'roll. swing, melodic and power metal, folk (including filk), ambient, techno, trans and ethno music. Also I'm fond of drums and weird rare musical instruments. And there are also such gorgeous things as Intermediate Music, Two Steps from Hell and Juno Reactor.

I watch dvd boxes of some dutch soap series instead of music... I have like 10 boxes to go xD
