When I come onto tapas, i always use my phone. I also use that to upload my comic pages and edit how they look in light quality. My laptop that i make my comic on is weird. Everything i make on it appears darker on a different divice. So i have to edit it on my phone before uploading. Its not the brightness of the computer. (I've checked) My screen on that is normal brightness. I guess what im saying is, different devices computers, phones, tvs, etc. show the quality of people's comics differently. What do you use when reading on tapas? How does it look? Bright? Dark? Neither?

Different devices use different displays so there's no guarantee of pages looking exactly the same across platforms. Especially given every brand and device type show things different from colors, to brightness and all kinds of other details.

There's really not much of a fix either so unless there's reader complaints all that can really be done is to just keep posting

edit: i missed the question in op/the title but i usually view comics on my laptop or if i'm willing (or lazy) i'll put up with reading on my phone and the biggest difference is usually saturation or slight variations in the hue (though i imagine that's a byproduct of using blue light filter on my laptop)

I used to have that problem of a difference between displays on my laptop. when I upgraded to a better monitor I just barely have this problem anymore. But I look a tapas on my good monitor. I don't use my phone for it at all, I just...don't like reading stories on my phone, it's not immersive for me.

To be 100% honest... I don't read anything on this site. I know it sounds pompous n' such, but I cannot for the life of me find anything I can attach to on a regular basis.

I mostly use my tablet when reading comics on Tapas since it has the perfect-sized screen. I have a blue light filter, so I guess the images look... slightly redder than the creator intended? (It doesn't impact the reading experience, in my opinion, especially since it puts less strain on my eyes!)

But totally agreed with @VibrantFox - there's no universal 'look' across all devices. Just keep posting indeed!

I used to use my phone, but mostly use my tablet, now. On rare occasion (to upload pics to my novel) I’ll pull out my laptop and the colors are exactly like you described - super washed out and looks weird (I have a cheap laptop, though). I think quite a few creators use computers (be it desk top or laptop) and a lot of the “regular” readers use some form of a mobile device

I primarily use my desktop. I usually read in between working on my own comic, so I'm already on PC anyway.

I use my latop. Even on my phone I use the web browser but I'm not here much on my phone. As for how it looks, because the main site is so white I've had to turn down my display brightness to help with the glare it gives me so for me things will always be a little more muted. And on my phone I have the blue light filter on that makes things more orangish. Though I have the actual reading pages set to the dark mode because that is MUCH better for my reading issues, but I admittedly haven't gotten around to reading on tapas. I struggle with reading ebooks in general and just haven't been in the right mood to try again.

But like VibrantFox says no matter what you do it's going to display different on every browser and phone. The screens of each device will display things differently because of their resolution. Then you have users who will add things (like blue light filters) to adapt to their personal needs. There really is nothing you can do to stop that.

I post and look for new story to subscribe on laptop, but read mostly on phone. There seems to be no different regardless where I'm reading.

I do everything on my phone now. I read comics, I draw comics, watch movies, listen to music, take it for long walks in the park. If I could. I would marry it. Lol

It used to be my surface tablet or my phone but my tablet just died recently, so just my phone now. I like to come onto tapas, whether it be the forums or viewing webcomics on the main site, when I'm in a relaxed state meaning lying on my bed and I can't do that at my laptop/monitor station at my desk sooo yeah.

Phone it is.

I use my computer most of the time since I draw on that computer. I also just like reading comics that way more.
I sometimes go on Tapas with my phone, but I just check the notifications.

I do like to check how my work (especially color palettes, they'll be slightly more saturated) will look on my phone before uploading, but other than that, I prefer using Tapas on my laptop. I do have the app on my phone and it's nice for when I'm out, but I just like the bigger screen for most things, haha

I upload pages and do creator stuff on my desktop, but I generally read comics on my phone since I read either in bed or during times when I'm waiting around.

It depend on... I have mobile with Android, but I have Android also in Computer (as virtual machine) + Anbox, I use website as well, and Linux is my main OS I use so I have ability to have any type of access everywhere. Because for example, wait for free, or gifts are only for mobile,... but Mature section is avaiable only in website. And publishing is also able only on website (and not only that, writting, or drawing comic on mobile is "not possible" or better said nearly impossible)

Similiar is for Webtoon... for dailypass, fastpass I use mobile, but I also use website. When posting as well...

I use website also for development purposes, I create extensions for Webtoon and Tapas such as library export/import or spam-remover so it's really able only on website, because mobile app is totally closed-source and unable to manipulate with it. I don't even know if there is any API, or anything to be able to create extension for app.
