I'm trying to start using YouTube more to promote my stories. However, I'm limited in funds and resources I can currently do things with in video. I know some people will tell me to learn how to animate things or pay someone to animate stuff for me, but it takes time to learn those skills, and it costs quite a bit to pay someone with those skills. I'm trying to work with what I can currently do now. Doesn't mean I won't try to build my skills or pay for better qualities, but this is where my abilities are right now.
My skills and resources at the moment allow for a few things.
I can make a variety of still images and typography in photoshop.
I can generate audio of narrated text in a few different voices.
I have access to a few scene transitions, and basic visual effects.
I can add music and edit it to a degree to fade in, out, or be louder or softer.
I can layer sounds.
Those aren't my only skills at the moment, but I think they're the ones i primarily used in my vid.
I suppose I just want general opinions like
Do you enjoy the video?
Do you think others could enjoy the video?
Do you mind that the video is a bit static?
Do you like the voice, the music, the length of the video?
Whatever opinions you have, I want to hear them. And if you have any suggestions on what I can do to improve the video with my current resources and skill I'd appreciate it too.
My main concern (if it isn't already clear) is that YouTube is a video platform and my video doesn't have a lot of movement. The focus should be on the narration, but I'm afraid a lack of visuals might hurt how many people choose to watch/listen or not.
