What do you use your phone for, other than actually talking to people?

I noticed lately I use mine for drawing, and playing music when doing anything tedious. It also acted as a flashlight more than the actual flashlights here. In fact every (now broken..) Phone I had were used more as flashlights and kinda like "back up space" when another device had too much that needed to be saved; they're like storage devices now....

I use it to make money (doesn't necessarily involve talking to people).

I tend to use my phone for watching youtube while jogging and exercising. I tend to listen true horror stories, documentaries, funny gaming videos, people ranting on games/movies, music etc.

I see phones as a nuisance. My husbands complains that I always leave it at home. I really only use it to whatsapp family and get verification codes.

I mostly use it as a recording device when I have an idea for a song.

Then I use it for navigation because I´m on the Autobahn a lot.

And the timer! I love doing things with a timer

I rarely use my phone to contact people.

I plug it in to a speaker to play music, read webcomics on the apps, or watch YouTube videos.

Actually tho it's just music. All the time. Music and taking photos to use as reference images for comic making! (Everyone should do this. It makes backgrounds and stuff SO much easier.) Music, photos and er... buying anime figures. Yeah I need to stop doing that last one.

Gonna be honest: I only recently started drawing on my phone because my kindle died. Am VERY thankful that I can do any art on it at all, lol.

Also I hate phones too. The only reason I'm using them more now is because some of the junk I have to do requires one, but when it broke I found the other features are MUCH more fun to use.

They're supposed to be tools, but they work better as toys instead. (Every previous phone I used lost the ability to be used as that, but everything else still alright)

Clock/alarm, checking weather, pedometer, checking emails, browsing the web, GPS

I also found a keyboard that I can plug into the USB port, so I sometimes use it as a mini computer for writing stories.

I use mine to avoid talking to people, doom scrolling, listening to YouTube and Spotify. Reading novels and manga oh and this is where I write my novel and where I keep my brainstorming ideas. I also use it for work purposes

I do not have a phone :0 I do have an IPad, which I mostly use like a laptop, like for writing or drawing. I do actually use it a lot to text/email friends though But when I go out I usually don’t have any technology on me!

I use mine to read the Quran, read comics and novels (do that on my laptop too), as a flashlight when needed, as an alarm clock sometimes, and for checking the time.

alarm clock, scrolling on instagram, and voice memos/recording. I live in a one party consent state so sometimes I'll just throw my phone down next to my laptop when I'm on a discord call if we're talking about dnd or something so I can have "the notes" available by the time session rolls around, and since I'm in that VC too everything's fine.

I use my phone to listen to music, GPS, play some games, watch downloaded episodes, comics (sometimes but I mostly read on desktop or print) check email, order uber, text friends (sometimes), take notes, and check the weather.

I don't use it to draw or write, browse the internet, watch movies (unless i'm on a long car trip except for big scale movies) and use social media (which I quit)

gotta admit I'm a mobile game junkie. I've tried to cut back recently to make more time for reading and writing, though.

Playing Pokemon Go from home. And Solitare.
With my epilepsy, I use an economy grade cellphone. I dont need it for much. I call or text people.
Line messenger. I tend to leave like 20min voice messages to people.
