Mine is a random name I picked back in high school that I've just stuck with because (almost always) it is never already been picked on any given website. Also, I still kinda like it and feel like I have sort of vague recognition associated with it so yeah.

I don't even know what mine means, it just fell down from the sky

I considered using some of the cool nicknames some people gave me in highschool, but one was used as a hotel brand and the other was hard to translate to english, so i just took the simple route and used my actual name.

My username comes from the fact that I have very Pagan/Norse interests and tendencies. Hel is a Norse goddess of death and a couple other things. Hel Be Praised is just the idea of praying to or praising the goddess Hel.

All my usernames used to be Liu XiaXue coming off my chinese name ćˆ˜ć€é›Ș.

The Gem part of my name are my real initials and Pompadour is a reference to the famous french mistress. I love 18th century fashion and art, and since my comic is based on that era (with demons and technology tossed into the mixture) I thought Pompadour complemented my initials well. It's also the name of a rad hairstyle so that's cool too.

....it's hubby's fav transformer.

No other reason really.

Basically took fennec fox and dropped the C so it rolls off the tongue better.

Tengu is a spirit representing my sona character and Harley is actually a name I stuck with given by a close friend of mine, he has a character in his series with a half-brother named Haruo but his alias is Harley. Given that I've wanted to change my birth name for personal reasons, Harley really stuck to me. and there be my username together :> TenguHarley

L is the first letter of my first name (Elle), and the rest is combining it with the phrase "one fell swoop"

They called you Holiday Inn?

The very uninteresting backstory to my current pseudonym involves a lot of brainstorming to replace a previous name (inkbleat). Basically I like horror, I'm very scared, and deer are neat. So, feardeer. Also, it rhymes.

It's my initials, since my IRL name is so freakin boring that there's usually several other people with my same exact name in the same place as me (fun fact, in college, I was confused with another person with my name, so I had to go to the records office to get a new ID and there were 7 other people in my school with the same first, middle, and last name as I). So using my initials was basically how I nabbed a website out of school, haha. But, almost everyone who first sees it, thinks I'm a boy because Raj is a popular boys name in India, so no matter what I do my name is normie as hell.

For a little while I really wanted to be unique and cool so my username and my shop name was PhtaloAzul, Pthalo for Pthalocyanine, which is my favorite paint to use and also my favorite color, Azul for blue in Spanish. But, no one could pronounce it so I had to change it because uh, marketing tip--don't ever use a longass name no one can spell. People kept asking me where I was from because they assumed it was a Eastern European word or something when it's like...no, it's just paint.

I'm nostalgic and like Roxas (kingdom hearts 2) :stuck_out_tongue: It's my other online names that are a bit more fun to explain.

"Veraca" (the one I use on tapas) is actually shortened from "Yugi Yukai Veraca" which was something like friend and heart from Japanese and "veraca" is the sound a ghoul makes? or something... I forget. It's been forever since I've had to think of how to explain it lol And the writing name "elle doki" comes from a cute manga I read with a character named Elle and I thought it sounded cute (not ellie, elle like the el in spanish or the letter L) and "doki" from Japanese sound for a heartbeat. Sounds way cooler than ba-dump :stuck_out_tongue:

You'd have to ask 10-year-old me because honestly? I have no clue. I came up with it ages ago and have long since forgotten the logic behind it. There is a town near where I live called Arco and Jawa is either a Star Wars creature or a Motorbike, so maybe it has something to do with that? :relieved:

I really like the artist/singer Dorian Electra to the point I've come to appreciate the name they have chosen for themselves (I really don't know the backstory of why they chose that name, if it is a stage name or their real name, tbh since I don't really look into an artist's background when I come to like their songs) and Torres was the last name I have chosen out of the suggestions from a name generator.

I was actually trying to come up with a handle for a spicy art twitter a little while ago, so thank you for your contribution lol
