I'd say yes! Posting everywhere possible is worth it. Because the more you share the bigger probability is. In marketing they always said in x amount of pageviews x amount buy (1000 to 1 or something i forgot). And i seriously think it's true. Because i myself found some stuffs through other medias that i myself never expect i'd find comic/other creation from.
And not like it hurt to do that right?
You only need some internet, a little bit of time, and you're done.
And on ig specifically marketing articles said the more your tags the better it is. Because the "probability" is bigger, and with that probabilities comes at least 1 buyer/reader in this case.
And yes, that's true as well, i've just read myself marketing articles these past few days, and donation are part of what make most people who's content creator quite the bucks.
But not everyone can make theirself likable that people will donate, so you have to do some work. Like making the actual work you want people to donate to you, being reachable(?) as in friendly(?) 
it's kind of hard to explain but i think most people won't like it if you have bad or awful attitude D: , and so on.
It's also a good idea to give some kind of reward when you open patreon, since i saw people who give benefit get more patrons than the who don't.
You can also set milestone and said you'll do x when x patrons are reached on patreon. I think that also have a small boost.
Uploading your own site is great! Especially if your reader don't mind with ads! You can put it there and gain some money. Though i'd say selling stuff is the best! People aren't annoyed with ads and you get more money than ads.
What you can sell? You can always sell exclusive artwork, early read (tell people they can pay to read early) (but this hard to do if you have a slower speed at update D: but tha's why there's always exclusive artwork), merchandises (use pre-order, don't need starting money and you have fixed sales, what's better than that really 
), etc2.
And it's not onlyads that you can put on your website/comic, you can put affiliate links (recommended to affiliate stuffs that related with your comic) and get money when people buy it (most won't, but that's exactly why theres probability, that if you forgot, came from a lot of people, which one of the way to get is from a lot of sharing).
And if you decide to do that don't forget to say that's it's affiliate product etc2 since that's the rule or something. And morally, i saw if you come clean people will like it better.
