Nudity doesn't have to be tagged as NSFW on Tapas if it's not done in a sexual way (AKA -- showing exposed and erected private parts or posed in an attempt to arouse the audience).
@Kaito26
Essentially, there are some things that are allowed outside of the NSFW on Tapas:
- Nudity and Exposed Female Breasts (if it's not shown with the attempt to be sexual, it doesn't have to be NSFW)
- Smoking/Drinking/Gambling(?)
- Minor Violence (Say, a slap or a punch)
- Blood
And then there are things that have to be tagged as NSFW:
- Sexual Nudity
- Possible Sex Scenes
- Increased Violence/Gore
- More Darker Themes
However, Tapas doesn't allow open pornographic or excessively gory/violent scenes. So this includes exposed and erected private parts, sexual penetration, increased details on body horror, prolonging a violent/abusive scene, etc.
Mostly, those are often done for "shock-value" and doesn't always drive a story.
You might do better with contacting TAPAS staff (via email or even here), and have them break down their NSFW rules.
In any case, @aFistFull brings up a good point. Everyone's level of Mature Content is different. What's Mature for some is not Mature for all. So it's good to put up a warning first (preferably before the comic), to tell people what will be seen outside of NSFW tags and what will be seen inside NSFW tags. Just so your audience knows what's they're stepping into.
