Sweden issues are...
"Should we make begging for money in the streets illegal?"
"Holy fucking shit our transgender healthcare system is working about as well as a horse with no legs trying to win a race"
"-Guys muslims are scary lets throw them out!!!!
-Wtf are you crazy??? They're humans with feelings and you wanna send them right back to a country in war!!
-Fine let's just not let any more of them in
-Wtf are you c-
-YOU ARE NO MATCH AGAINST MY MEATWALL OF INTERNET NECKBEARDS WHO ARE ANGRY ABOUT WHITE CIS MEN NOT BEING RECOGNIZED AS A DISCRIMINATED MINORITY!!!!!!"
"-Uhhh guys we have a problem, educated policemen kinda don't wanna work where they are needed the most anymore
-SEE I TOLD YOU THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LET THE SCARY BROWN MEN PASS OUR BORDERS BEFORE YOU KNOW IT THIS WILL BE A MUSLIM WASTELAND WHERE RAPING WOMEN IS A NATIONAL SPO-
-GODDAMNIT BOB WILL YOU JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LET US DISCUSS AN ACTUALLY RELEVANT SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM"
"Guys we may be more equal than many other countries but women still make less than men within the exact same kind of job HOW FIX"
Also there's occasionally the discussion about decriminalization of marijuana and the problems within healthcare, school systems and retirement.
I think the biggest problem we have is the few really vocal racists, homophobes and transphobes that are hijacking conversations and making improvement harder than it needs to be.
Also the party that sent this political ad out back in 2010 and still try to play the "I'M NOT RACIST JUST CONCERNED" card
They are a huuuge problem here. I don't think you need to understand swedish to see just how racist that ad was.
This party is estimated to get approx 20% of the votes this upcoming election.
Another nice tidbit I guess is that these guys were also the only in-charge party that didn't agree we should STOP FORCEFULLY STERILIZING TRANSGENDER PEOPLE back in 2013.
Not surprising since their roots are in nazi movements.
I'm in big trouble if they become too popular in the future. Being a trans man, the very few rights we have fought so hard to earn are on the line here.
Last election I decided to vote tactically. Like basically the party with the biggest chance of knocking this really bad party out, I voted for them regardless of my own beliefs. Because as far as I'm concerned human rights stand above economic details any day.
This election I'm just gonna vote for the party that has the best approach to changing the transgender healthcare. My personal opinion is that the evaluation process should be removed entirely for anyone above 18 (I am a consenting adult, it's my body, nonya business, cis people can do whatever they want with their bodies so so should I.) and replaced with an informed consent system, but I think that's a few years away. I'm just gonna vote for the party whose ideas are the closest to that.
