What is the WORST movie you've ever seen?

I've sat through some terrible stuff before, based solely on the merit of there being a big monster destroying things. Gotta be a byproduct of all the Godzilla I watched as a kid.

Unrelated note just remembered I saw Halloween 3 and a couple of the Leprechaun movies on the Scifi channel for what I think was a Halloween (holiday rather than the series.) marathon...I stopped watching the Scifi channel altogether shortly after.

Ahhh, I love how his family just screams at him at the top of the cliff and expects him to miraculously swim up because of the power of their words. Nobody attempts to climb down the cliff to save him. Stellar parenting.

There used to be a single critique of this on Rotten Tomatoes that's since been taken down. It simply read: "terrible beyond reason".

Basically, it's everything bad about hollywood rolled into one 'film'.

So this probably isn't actually the worst movie I've ever seen but it's the only where I've honestly thought "2 hours of my life I'm never getting back." It was the Passion of the Christ. I had to watch it for a Religion in Pop Culture class I recently took (the class was so biased towards Christianity it was ridiculous).

Honestly I have no idea. I think I've tried to erase the whole ordeal from my memory.

All I remember is Louis Gosset Jnr saying, "Well is you in, or is you out?"

That and her weird 'pouting' expressions, which I think where an attempt at acting, but in reality were probably the telltale signs of a serious, underlying medical condition.

I'm a huge disney fan but their line up from 2003-2008 was just terrible. And the worst was Chicken Little.
Boring plot, not very funny, not great animation, and hands down the WORST ANIMATED DAD EVER!!! He was so mean spirited I wanted him dead by the end of the movie. Thank god Disney's awesome again.

I'm pretty lax on what movies are good and bad, and so far the only movie I thought was terrible was Pixels(that I can remember). It was a really great concept, but in the end they just didn't do it right

Yeah, no. A movie where Kevin James is the President of the United States? Obvs not gonna go well lol Especially with Adam Sandler thrown into the mix. Remember when Sandler did good movies?

Have you ever seen the short film off which the Pixels film was based? It's a student film this guy did by the same name, but it tackled the concept in a much more simplistic but interesting (and humorous) way. It's a lot better than the box office film and TBH, you gotta feel sorry for the guy who has to face the fact that that garbage was based off his own hard work.

Cars 2.

You know what? Just the entire Cars franchise. The first movie? Definitely not one of Pixar's greatest hits, but it was good for kids and had its moments like every other Pixar film does.

But Cars 2, followed by Planes, and all the other installments of toys and TV shows and all that garbage because Disney needed to turn it into a corporate mechanism just like everything else? Dear god save us all. What a waste of Pixar's time. Fuck.

Also thought the Percy Jackson lightning thief movie was awful but I'm not sure if I judged it harsher because of it being based off a book I love or not.

It's funny, I found that Odd Thomas was something different and refreshing for a genre as stale as supernatural horror (or maybe "the occult detective" is a better term). As much as I liked it, it definitely had a strong Donny Darko vibe, hardly a virtue.

This gotta be it. I was super bored, so I watched this in Norwegian with English subtitles and copious amounts of beer. Apparently it's supposed to be some kind of political satire that went way over my head. But hey, it actually had Norwegian ninjas...

@andres8ol I don't know what you are referring to...there was NO movie made from the amazing show Avatar: The Last Airbender. (Seriously, I couldn't even make it half an hour before quitting...it was such a disappointment.)

@winglesscomic Troll 2 is literally the greatest thing ever. My brother showed it to me and I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my life!

OK, I've been seeing some awful movies, here, and there are some serious contenders for "worst movie ever," but...I have the winner.

Seriously. This movie is the WORST thing I have ever seen in my life.
My brother and I have gotten into the habit of watching those awful cult movies (like Troll 2 and The Room), and usually they are also hilariously stupid, but Things...
The only words I have to describe it are: "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT WATCH!"
