It looks like an ad site put a sort of site reader (like what stumble upon and comic rocket does) over the actual Tapastic site.

Aww....look how cute the Tapastic clone is...he really wants to be like his inspiration. Right down to flat out copying his look and putting a simple site reader over it hoping he can be just as successful not realizing the legal ramifications of copying someones stuff without permission and trying to profit off of it in their own way.

EDIT: For anybody curious about the knock off site, don't click the link. You can't click anything there without getting an annoying pop up or two.

He's been found out and is now in hiding... but he still looks up to the original Tapastic so he's always keeping an eye... I think... on him

Oh my goodness sorry you guys! I didn't know the site had ads, as I had Adblock on.
(yes of course I turn it off if a page asks politely )

I visited the site without adblock on another browser and upon clicking one of the Fresh comics, I got a pop up saying somethin like "could not ... Teleport Pro" and so I clicked ok, and there was the ads!

I googled Teleport Pro and it seems to be an offline Webcrawler, which crawls a website and saves the files offline. Sorta like Wayback Machine.

Oh gosh...he really is mentally challenged isn't he? (no offense to anybody reading this who is or has a family member born that way). His attempts at trying to be a legitimate free hosting site for webcomics just like his inspiration, but failing on multiple fronts reminds me of what (in)famous caustic video game critic Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw of Zero Puncuation had to say about 2013's big stinker Ride to Hell: Retribution An alleged open world sandbox game (that doesn't even get that part right) so awful, you have to see to believe (or play in this case) how bad it really is.

Ride to Hell is the kind of bad that leaves me with a smile on my face. It's a little retarded child with its head stuck in a cereal box and a massive great dump in its big boy pants going "I'm a real game now!" Of course you are, Ride To Hell.

I honestly can't think of any other way to describe how amused I am that someone would blatantly copy Tapastic and the only thing that's different is a basic Ad reader to help the clone make money. Your portrayal of the imitator only adds to said amusement Ash.
