I have a big passion for music, especially instrumental and jazz. I'm trying to learn to play all the instruments I can but now I'm stuck with the alto sax :stuck_out_tongue:

You're a sax player? So is my dad, he played tenor sax though. I can't believe I forgot about music when talking about my own passions. XD I love all kinds of music even country. My own musical talent is... meh. I got stuck playing keyboard and xylophone when my braces at the time didn't allow me to play trumpet.

I love figure skating and theater.

I'm not sure if theater counts as amateur though, since I have gone to school for scriptwriting and do volunteer work of a community theater group. I will also drive 10 hours one way just to go see a musical production.

With figure skating, I used to skate as a kid, and am trying to re-learn it now. My sister and I watch any televised events we can find, and talk about programs and techniques all the time, even though we have no actual education on the specifics.

Comics 8)

I used to teach myself guitar until my roommate smashed it. Long story.

Writing... sort of. I have experience and education in scientific writing styles for research articles and educational purposes. I write behavioural programs for clients, and develop task analyses for staff to implement without error.

But my reviews, editing, and other works that I do are still what I would consider amateur and non-professional... but mainly because I don't make money from it. If I was employed to do so, then I suppose I would give myself more credit and consider it more professional work. But for now, I remain an amateur who writes as a hobby. I don't have any education further than a few writing classes I took in high school some 6 or so years ago in creative writing.

aside from comics and writing, I have a passion for martial arts. I watch fight videos a lot

Figure skating is quite interesting. It looks to take a measure of grace I just don't have. That's really cool and it's something that keeps you active. Hope re-learning it goes well for you.

I make music digitally. I for the life of me can't get a tune out of an instrument, it's like playing a quicktime event in real life, but I'm completely self taught in terms of composing music on the computer though. I have fun making tunes for my comics and I like making ambient music because it's easy and it's fun for soundtrack work. I see most my music as soundtrack type work.

Dancing and Publishing(as in books) are my two biggest passions.

I loved to dance back when I was in high school and would stay up late just to learn a new dance because I loved it. The way people moved their bodies quickly, never messing up just amused me. Although the first full dance I ever did was Bad Apple. I was black of course and it was hell. This was back in 09 when YouTube was still a baby so I had to watch carefully and pay attention to each detail because they didnt have the slow button they have now.

Publishing, however, is an unusual passion. I learned a lot of adobe Indesign and how to create ebooks, covers, banners all because I thought it was fun. I love the way I could make these beautiful covers that stood out, or take a regular CC image and add color. I even went so far as to ask my friend, who is CEO of my publishing house for me to intern under him although he makes me do the grunt work :joy:

I have many passions. Writing and drawing at the top. Seed Beading and Native Patchwork, leather work, clothing design, archery, violin, composing scores of music, game development, pixel art, pixel animation, NATURE. mountain hiking was a thing I stopped doing sadly. canoeing was fun, so was fishing, but that hasn't happened for some time now. I miss doing abstract art in pen/ink only. caligraphy, conlanging for projects, I actually wrote an entire ebook in a conlang with caligraphy, it's on amazon I think, haven't checked in a while.

I started out earlier in life obsessed with mathematics and physics, but then I started writing and drawing.

I have a fondness for history, mostly regarding medieval times, and every once in a while some of the lesser learned parts of World War II. Mostly just historical tidbits and trivia; but History is still something I have a great deal of interest in. It was always one of my favorite subjects to learn about; right behind Forensic Science.

Reviewing stuff is also something I particularly enjoy, I don't do it on here to the extent I do elsewhere; but I still like to try and give feedback when possible. Pretty small, but I love doing it; I like to think it helps my writing abilities, and that I can give some good feedback; though reviewing webcomics is harder for me compared to written stories, I.E. Fanfiction or novels.

I love cooking and linguistics too! :> Language is something that's always come more easily to me, and learning new languages is fun. My partner gets jealous that I learn language quickly, til I remind him that I am 10000% garbage at math. I guess it's my academic trade-off?

Even though I'm not great at it, I like gardening! I haven't been able to do any since I moved to a small apartment, but when I had a yard I loved to grow veggies. There's something really cool about raising a plant from a tiny seed into something you can eat.

I also really love to sing! When I was a little kid I wanted to be a singer, until I got bullied out of doing it. But considering how hard as it is to be a pro artist, I think being a pro singer would be even harder, so maybe it's not all bad. In any case, I still love doing karaoke with friends and singing in the car. (◕ᴗ◕ )

I love to cook as well! Mostly cakes, or cookies, sweet stuff in general.
I'm considering going back to school to learn history, too. It looks so much fun when you're done memorizing dates and details for exams, but I really know nothing about it...yet!

I like Psychology! Tho, I'm not professionally trained in it. I do watch long hour Psychology sessions with people like carl rogers and others on Youtube. It helps me to understand people when writing my comics, Osca

Voice-acting. I used to sit and do voices along to games growing up before they started voicing them, I always really enjoyed it. I've actually voiced a few unpaid roles here and there so I'm definitely still amateur level, but I really enjoy it. Did a little Youtube channel where I'd voice current games without voice-acting, though that was mostly for fun and was never being serious. Been giving thought to starting it back up and taking it semi-seriously.

Comics and Music for me. My day job is a manager at a research lab at ASU. But in ever little minute I can squeeze outside of work I love these two things.

Comics- I draw comics all the time. I read comics all the time. It's like I can't get enough of it. My coworkers give me sketch requests at lunch time. It's a ton of fun.

Music- I'm a classically training violinist, playing for over 20 years now. I love to perform with church groups, write church music for ensembles and teach private lessons to kids with disabilities or special needs. I really love it. :musical_note:

I got love of language from my dad. Funny enough I'm also terrible at math XD

Gardening sounds like something good to get into.

That stinks about getting bullied out of it. Singing is very nice, but yeah it is a hard life.

I've been self-studying Swedish for two years now! I also like reading about places in the world that not many people know about (things like the Russian Far East!) I'm also a lil bit into modern history, law and current events!

I've been playing piano for 10 years, I'm aiming for a diploma next year... idk if that counts as professional ;w; I also play the drum set, but purely as a personal pastime! I like singing, but never in front of anyone D: I've never had lessons/been in choir, either.

I fence and play badminton, though I'm mediocre at both. I also kinda like beauty and makeup!
