What is your favourite genre and why?

Do you have a favorite genre you gravitate towards and do you know why?

Personally, I love fantasy and horror stories because I love to see what other people can come up with and be immersed in a world that I couldn’t imagine myself, but what about you?

Drama/Tragedy and Action

I get moody sometimes, so I like reading moody idk what else to tell you tbh something cool about ppl dying and stuff

I run the gamut when it comes to visual media like comics, shows, and movies. If it sounds and looks good to me, I'll watch it. And a lot of my favorites span the whole genre spectrum.
Webnovels too I suppose, since they're free, I will take a chance on anything that raises my interest.

The only type of media where I have a specific genre that I gravitate to is print novels. For some reason when it comes to novels that I buy in a bookstore, I will more than likely choose something that's historical fiction or historical fantasy. I end up liking most of them so it's usually a safe bet for me.

as of right now it is fantasy that's a mixture of history is what I gravitate more or most of the fantasy that is mix with certain genres that's what I like.

Hmm, honestly, I don't think I currently have a favorite genre. I don't really know, I guess I'm a bit more fixated on the plot and writing style. Once I see a good story with a unique and interesting plot, no matter what the genre is, I just get absorbed in it and I'd just keep reading and reading... (*￣v￣)

It waviers but I usually have a period of time I binge horror manga and read soo many on shots and comics

I guess its the stories that shows off darker not usually touched subject matters in media... They usually have a unique style of writing and art making the genre stand out even more

I also enjoy gore as a guilty pleasure and artistic admiration. so I find them more in horror than in other genres like romance.

Action, because if done well can be inspiring or reflective while at the same time showing cool dynamics, creative use of powers, combinations, etc.

Though not gonna lie, there's a lot of powercreep.

Horror.

There's a lot to do with horror, and I find that it meshes really well with other genres. Horror romance, horror comedy, horror noir, horror slice of life.

Not to mention all of its subgenres: folk horror, cosmic horror, Gothic horror, slasher horror, etc.

I dunno -- it just gives off a certain vibe and aesthetic that kinda lures me in. Even more, I find it makes room for a lot of experimental stuff, especially when it comes to abstract visuals and symbolism.

Fantasy and sci-fi are my absolute favourites. I love escaping into other worlds, I love learning about imagined cultures, planets, creatures, and mythologies, and I love tales of struggle, camaraderie, and overcoming great odds.

Fantasy: It can address any issue or none at all, plus there is enough volume of literature that you'd probably die before reading all of it.

Classic european style comics, I like adventure stories.
I recently discovered the slice of life genre, that´s also something I really like.
Erotic comics but it´s really hard to find good ones.
I also like the classic 1-4 panel cartoons.

Everything that doesn´t contain excessive violence is a possible genre for me

Urban fantasy... fantasy taking place in the future/past isn't really my thing so why not? XD I like a modern setting (and magic)

Action is my bread and butter, I especially like action when it isn't like "oh, Zero/Kyo/whatever rose up to power level XXX! Now he is stronger because he trained offscreen!"

I like action when the established powers or combat is used creatively, in ways you don't expect. I think I remember a scene in Dragonball Super (obviously that isn't a webcomic but just a example) where Goku railgrinds on a ki blast with his kamehameha to dodge the hit. Now that is epic, I love those scenes

Horror, hands down. For both novels and comics btw, though I may have a giddy weakness for novels as I am especially impressed if you can spook the daylights out of me with your book.

And I will add fantasy here too, but I am very picky about my fantasy. I'm done seeing the same races all over, do something better. If I see one more elf I swear to god...

Action is all our comics is about. Any type of action via good vs evil, or just a good round of cartoon violence across the board is what we do best at Amazement Comics. It even says in our profile summary, we're so full of entertainment so action packed, it's going to leave a mark. Also, our world of action/adventure stories is massive, meaning lots of characters telling lots of different stories all in an effort not to bore our audience.
