What is your style like?

I'm not sure how I would describe my style. I came up with it because I wanted my characters body language to be very fluid. They were originally VERY thin, but as I grew more comfortable with the style they beefed up and still remained flexible. Some of the things I love about my style is their mobility, their build makes it easier for me to draw difficult positions. I also love the way I build each character to look very different from each other.

Let me know what you think my style is close to. Anime? Cartoon? Western?

Sketchy and almost lazy.

I like it because it lets me churn out pages quicker than I expected.

I'm still slowly developing my style as I get slightly better with each page. If I'd have to say I guess my style would be anime based mixed with realism? I'm pretty happy with my linework/proportions and such but I'm still working on my coloring and how to make it more visually appealing.
Also struggling with foreshortening and making my panels more dynamic/less plain.

Well I don't have a particular art style, it depend's on the comic.

I'll show you my illustration style first:

Oh yeah that's hard too. like you're normal drawing/illustration style(s) might be different then your comic style(s). Normally a comic style should be simpler so that it's easier to draw over and over again. I picked my style of this comic since it's my first major project and need to be sure that I finish it lol. But I'm still able to draw differently for stand alone illustrations.

It would be fun to see what people's comic style looks like compared to their normal drawings.

Hmm my style is like... well there's definitely big shonen anime/manga influence that shines through, but mine is kind of a simpler take on it? Like I try my best to maintain realistic proportions, but at the same time I like to use simple, blocky hair and large eyes xD and there's a fair amount of western influence too, I think.

I started out my comic with a more cartoony feel but its evolved into...this. Not quite sure how I would describe it. It definitely has manga influences but its more simplified. (at least, I wouldn't categorize it as manga style) Keeping with real life figure proportions on my characters is just what I naturally gravitate to. Also, I strictly only use cell shading now because its the only way I can finish on time now. lol

My style is very much inspired by shoujo manga. When it comes to coloring, I'm still trying to find myself. I kind of want to do something simple and sketchy/painterly. The first pic os from my comic, the second is just a sketch dump.

I definitely try to mimic both manga and western art styles - basically I really like “crispy” lineart lol. So I really love artists like Shirow Miwa and Nate Powell I also really like triangles and I put them everywhere for a sharp look. I rely mostly on hard shadows to create a 3D effect and a lot of my stuff is in either in black and white or monochrome because I hate all colors except for a specific shade of violet.

My style depends on the mood I'm in while drawing but for the most part, it errs on the simpler side. I also seldom color my drawings because I'm color blind and it sucks to get decent colors without reference that I can color pick from or without hours of testing =_=

here's my style a few days ago

if I draw something tomorrow, it's probably gonna look like something else entirely, although the eyes, nose, and eye brows might stay the same. My style hasn't really been cemented in with me yet unfortunately

I have several different art styles, but the one I chose for my comic here on tap is ever evolving. Not really sure what inspired the style for Cosmos Song, I just felt like it was a fit for the type of story being told. Here's some of my comic stuff:

I think my style is best characterized by the word squishy.

I've been really liking recently how my stuff turns out when I use solid lines for the main character and kind of fuzzy, crayon-looking lines for the background - which funny enough was what reasonably close to what my first comic looked like on the platform:

If I could pick one artist as my biggest inspiration, it would be Bill Watterson hands down. Heck, I drew my main character in a fan art and realized that I basically made a Calvin with a different haircut.

I like using a lot of bold colors against stark black.

Hm er haha, bold lines, super expressive faces? eye bleeding colors. lots of pastels. for my actual webcomic i tend to stick to a blue/pink pallette. i hear from others my hands and my noses are pretty recognizable.
