I'm in college right now going for animation with gaming concentration.
I'm just curious.

I do graphic design, concept art for games, illustrations and small press comic sequentials when I'm not updating my webcomic62.

Unemployed... -_- Got turned down after a recent interview for no reason. But hopefully, if the universe works in my favor, I may land a job doing a show that might potentially be on Adult Swim. But I'm not banking everything on that because who knows how that will pan out. XD

I'm freelance illustrator at the time. Mostly do commission work. Currently working on a children's book to publish and hoping to send a proposal comic to Image Comics in a month or two.

I'm a sign language interpreter.

Nice comic! Should check out mine. It's defiantly not like yours. Mine is more like a cartoon.

I'm an animator at the American Safety Council. I work on driver training videos, OSHA safety, medical error prevention training. Comics are a lot more fun.

I'm a resident assistant at my school, not very fond of the job, but I get a decent check. I also used to work at a tee shirt shop about 2 years ago, making artwork for shirts, I kinda liked that job.

I am about to start my freshman AND senior year (it's a one year program lol) at the Centre for Arts and Technology in 2D Animation & Digital Art. Currently I work at a small art shop in my town, which is completely run by the 25~26 artisans that are a part of it, so I fit right in stuck_out_tongue Other than that, I do freelance commission work, and am currently employed as a novel editor, novel writer, novel cover artist, comic colorist, and indie game concept artist. It's ironic because my main profession is professional digital art, but at this point I'm doing more professional content writing than art stuck_out_tongue Either way, I keep myself busy when I'm not at work or drawing comics. Plus I'm a moderator at a LoZ forum so there's that too. And I just recently had a local children's book published that I got the chance to illustrate.

... you know I never really realized how much shit I have going on at once until I wrote it all down .-. Yikes. SPOILERAnd I just graduated high school too.SPOILER

mostly I work as a shift supervisor at starbucks. I judge you for your frappucinos.

I also do some freelancing and texture work for a small mobile game company. Also conventions all the time everywhere. I am a busy person @_@

I'm a kindergarten teacher by morning, housewife by day, and wannabe artist by night!

Whereabouts in Japan are you, @patrickijimawa? I'm in Tokyo, myself... sitting through a thunderstorm even though the news said tsuyu was officially over as of two days ago...

@Anne, as someone that just recently started independently studying sign language (Japanese rather than American English, however) I must say your line of work is really impressive!

I am going to enter university soon and I hope to be able to get a job as a character concept artist (freelance or in studios) to support my intuition fee ^^ but I know it is a very competitive field... ;___; and @UzukiCheverie you are amazing in many ways!

I recently graduated college and between looking for a job I'm a freelance painter and illustrator smile

As someone who finally escaped the clutches of the college school system, I should be considered unemployed due to my strange disinterest in not wanting to work for any animation/gaming studios in my vicinity. But somehow I'm a self-employed freelancing creative. I mainly do contractual graphic design work, which involves lots of bears.

And dear god, the bear puns. So many bear puns. It may be my steady income but holy geez, it gets annoying after awhile.

Also: @UzukiCheverie DO YOU SLEEP?! But seriously, that is a shit ton of work. You have an amazing work ethic! O_o

We make comics for a living, but on occasion take on freelance projects. David writes for comics and magazines. Steve illustrates role-playing games.

Wow, so many people with art educated backgrounds! D: I've no education for that kind of stuff, so I'm not sure if I'm missing out or something.
I'm currently in college, learning and doing Architecture stuff (no you do not have to be an artist to be an architect contrary to what many might believe-- they don't teach you that (atleast at my school they don't)). I have 2 side jobs I work. And videogame making, makeup fx, robotics, comics, art commissions, reviews, and attempted-movies/film on the side when i have time.

When I am not writing books and comics or creating pillows and jewelry I am a mom/housewife. I am also a certified art teacher. Now that my kids are older I may go back to teaching soon.
