The second manga that I (accidentally) read was "YU-GI-OH" :no_mouth:
It's mainly about card games, pretty famous too :relieved:

Akatsuki no Yona is awesome! It's a historical fantasy romance about a princess who's betrayed and has to go on an adventure. Lots of great characters and a great story too!

I like Saiyuki, although I need to find a way to read the rest of the series o_O
It's a...kind of retelling of "The Journey to the West." With science and demons and a dragon turning into a jeep

I have started reading Children of the Whales, and it's pretty good so far. It's about a banished people floating on an island in a desert wasteland. Those with magic die young, while some of the elders tend to live longer and have no magic. It's an interesting manga, but I'm only 2 manga into the story :3

Houseki no Kuni.
To put short it's about genderless humanoid gems lifeform fighting some moon people. It's still ongoing.

hmm man i read a lot from a lot of diff geners,,
i think ill sayyy

eyeshield 21

super cute sports manga, it does play out basically how ud imagine but thats honestly part of its charm if you ask me. i think it was the first longform manga ive ever completed (with a whooping 333 chapters) but it's worth the read imho
i feel like it was better than most other sports animemanga out there but kinda got baboozled with the anime adaptaion that looked godawful
(its a manga abt some kids playing american football, to clarify)

anddd on a more personal note, Sahara Mizu

It's about a young man (20s) dealing with the death of his s/o while taking care of a small child (not his biologically) after he realized the connection between the two. the story centers around the life of a sudden father, the loss of a significant figure in both the characters' lives, and the emotional turmoil that comes with raising a child in general and more specifically as a figure who was external to [her] life up to this point. it's a brilliantly written manga which takes great care and details towards emotions and growth.

My favorite manga that I'm currently reading is Dr. Stone!

One day, all of humanity was turned into stone. Some 3000 years in the future, Senkuu and his friend Taiju are able to break out of the stone. They wake up in how the world would look if no humans had lived in it for 3000 years. The cities are all gone. It's back to primitive times basically and Senkuu, a guy who is extremely knowledgeable in various sciences, is working to revive everyone. Lots of fun science and fun inventions. It's like an adventure and it has some action too as he is forced to revive someone who isn't so nice.

Anime is coming out this summer!

Amatsuki - A boy who failed his history class gets sent to Edo-era Japan. RIP boy who shoulda studied harder in history.

Welcome to the Ballroom! - Loser middle school student comes out of his shell by taking on ballroom dancing. The artwork is amazing. The anatomy oh myyyyy
1

My Hero Academia - The current big hit shonen series! Japanese manga meets Western superhero aesthetic in this amazingly exciting manga that follows all the tropes and cliches of classic shonen, but pulls it off well.
3

Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun - A comedy manga about writing manga! It plays off as a shoujo-romance, but it's actually published in a shonen magazine. Oh, the irony. The character interactions are gold and you find it hard to hate any one character!

Wotaku ni Koi no wa Muzukashii - Two nerds who are childhood friends meet each other again at the office they both work at! This is a rom-com adult's romance. Even better, they're otaku!

Does he go back in time with George Carllin in a red phonebooth? XD

I always forget to mention I think my third manhwa series was Demon Diary (but at the time, I thought it was manga that had been flipped XD Didn't realize it was Korean! The whole thing was still pretty new where I lived.)

It was a pretty fun read. I never...really came back to relate to the prologue, but the story did finish.

Mr. Villain's Day Off

It's Slice-of-Life/Comedy and very cute! About a evil general from an evil organization meant on destroying mankind and taking Earth for themselves, and they're fighting the Rangers -- who are there to stop them.

But they get paid days off, so the general loves to spend his days fawning over Pandas and snacks.

It's such a good read, and you find yourself relating to the "evil general" more and more. And lo key, you begin to wander if they're really "evil" at all or if there's more to the story than just "good vs evil"

Or, to sum it all up in one picture:

He went back in time and found his classmate who had gone missing, only to find out that his classmate (who he just saw a few hours earlier in the modern day) had also been transported, but already lived in Edo-era Japan for 2 years. The time warp was different for the two!

Just to clarify on this! Despite the name GSNK is 100% slice of life, thereโ€™s no shoujo-romance in it.

btw these are great picks :ok_hand:

I'm almost surprised FMA hasn't been mentioned yet!

Rurouni Kenshin was a HUGE part of my formative teen years, and the author's art improvement from the first volume to the last was very inspiring for me.
