What manga influenced you to draw/write?

For me, I'd say the mangas Happy Sugar Life, Dusk Maiden, Shakugan No Shana and Pandora Hearts.

There's three manhwa that also inspired me, Nano List, Oh Holy and Lookism.

When I need references for panels I use those comics. Haha!

None led me to make comics, but many have been influential. Off the top of my head;

• The same one as everyone else. Dragonball.

• The one that taught me to no longer be satisfied with power levels and jiggly tits because the medium can tell any story. Barefoot Gen.

• The one that taught me a comic can be, and should be, anything and creators straight jacket themselves too much following conventions of genre. What's Michael?

• The one that reaffirmed that I like more "grounded" comics. Boku to Issho.

Of the four of them, Boku to Issho aged the worst and if you don't read it it's probably for the best.

I've watched several others, but these are my favorites in the sentimental or funny category, which is mostly what I write. I've also watched Astro Boy, One Week Friends, Prince of Tennis, Zoids: New Century Zero, Megaman (several different series) the list goes on.

Good question. In the case of "Hiroshi and the Neon Ninjas," I'd say "Rurouni Kenshin" primarily, but also Pokemon and Digimon as I was watching those as a teenager.

I never saw a manga until I was 12 and I always had a passion for writing even before then I had read all the books in the house and decided that I wanted to write a book but I still haven’t succeeded I don’t have enough inspiration and it always ends up having too much romance

For me it was just three, BLAME! By Tsutomu Nihei, Scurry by Mac sSmith and Lackadasy by Tracy Butler. Truly masterpieces.

Reading Berserk for the first time really changed my life. I wouldn't be a comic artist now if I hadn't done that.

On top of manga, there's also works of Alan Moore, Tuoni Myllylä and Tove Jansson.

I actually don't consume a lot of Manga/anime but there is one i was really into in middle school and it's heavily influenced how i draw characters . .. . spesifically ears

I always loved how cute the big ears in DC look and it was one of the things that drew me to the series to begin with

whatever you come up with is a mix of everything you've read or saw, even if you do not realize it.
I would say Berserk and Claymore, unfortunatelly to make a dark medieval comic you need to have talent and guts, unfurtunatelly for me, I had none, so, I had to give up of my comic
