What music does your ocs listen to?

I just had this question on a Q&A and it was so fun actually! I even made playlists for my characters (what they'd listen to) after it!

What kind of music/what bands would your characters listen to?? And you can of course post your story links ️

Gunhild mostly listens to viking death metal, but she also enjoys bjork.
Loki is a diehard gaga fan, and also enjoys jazz and swing.
Sif likes classical music.
Thor prefers classic rock.
Baldr likes shudders...Abba...

It's ok, but =it's the only music Baldr ever listens to. It eventually grows grating (like that "whats new pussycat" sketch.)

I'm not, I'm british. I'm using it because I've always been fascinated by it. There will also be some british folklore appearing later on.

I think it's safe to say the characters in my novel mostly listen to sea shanties, not necessarily by choice

@FritzC ahh german artists good

I never really think about it, but my male mc would maybe listen to One OK Rock, Dean, Zico, Epik High and HYDE.
So Rock and hip hop/rap.. but rock only mostly from japanese.

N0ne likes listening to any tracks of calming instrumental music and nature sounds. It helps her recover from the chaos and stress of her life and focus on her meditation. For an A.I. in a robot body, it's a little unusual to walk into her room and hear wind chimes or jungle rain.

Wink has basically been trapped in a lab since she was born, so she hasn't heard much music before escaping. Afterward, she binges on any music she can find, regardless of age or style. She loves it all. She most enjoys live music, but at home she streams stuff which has elements of both hyper-aggression and beauty, like the Hu or Megan MacDuffee.

I have specific playlists for my characters in my personal account, but as the "Salamon Character Profile" is coming soon to my blog, I made a spotify account for Talking Chalk where I'll share them publicly.

The first one to show up will be Salamon's, but more character and story arc playlist will come in the future.

My characters listen mostly to instrumental music; Nadhine is someone who jams to a song called Alif Ana (a Yemeni music which is a poetry made with each letter of the Arabic alphabet) and some Iraqi beats. Raheem is more of a Oud/ Lute and Flute mix, choosing something soothing for his mind. Esther loves the Kanoun (an instrument that looks like a harp), and some romantic tunes like Inta Omri or even Betwanes Beek. Yami listens to tribal music; the group Solace would give him a soundtrack of his live without doubts.
