My username is a pseudonym, but it comes from my regular and chinese zodiac, which are Gemini and Dragon respectively.

I use my real name because after a bunch of handles across various sites in my youth, I never found anything that stuck with me. Plus I'm not afraid to be associated with the work I put out. My life's too short to hide and the environment around me in real life is supportive/neutral.

I use a pseudonym mostly because I use everything under the same name online, so it just made sense to write under that name as well for now. Eventually I'll probably change it to my real name if I ever do anything more than posting online.

I have a pseudonym because I'm a teacher and children are nosey.

Alex is my favorite gender neutral name and I didn't want people to assume my story was about girly stuff since I write action/fantasy not romance or drama. The L is for my real name and the Curi is actually the name of my first cat. It was short for curiosity.

@alexlcuri07 It’s true - kids are so nosy! Yeah, I struggle with the gender neutral part, myself I debated back and forth about various names because of that. I love that name for a cat!! and I love that you incorporated that into your name!!

Mine's more of a quirky/funny name! I chose PilotObvious because it was right around the time when people would call you Captain Obvious for stating obvious things. But I wanted to be slightly more original. I grew up near the city of the Wright Brothers and always enjoyed seeing the planes at the air force museum, so I went with Pilot.

It's definitely become my internet alias, but I do sometimes let people call me by my first name if I'm closer with them.
