What should the next big movie adaption be?

I'd love to see more fantasy series, there's definitely potential in the industry too after all the Game of Thrones hype. The Name of The Wind or I'm really liking Red Sister right now. Though maybe Prince of Thorns would be better since that's currently completed.

You know, I think they (whoever "they" is) should stop making movie adaptations lol. Some series/movies should just be left ALONE, especially if they work well in their medium. God, I hate to see Disney trying to milk the absolute shit out of franchises by turning animated gems into a gross CGI-fest. Who asked for a live action Dumbo? Literally nobody! Was the live action of Beauty and the Beast worth my time? No, it wasn't! It's especially painful to see them try to make everything "realistic-looking" now. For what reason? They're just telling the same story but instead with famous actors and fancy CGI technology. The ooh-so-pretty landscapes, irl-imagined characters, and nostalgia will only fascinate the audience for so long. After that, it's just a gimmick to make more $$$$.

With that being said, I heard Alita Battle Angel was OK, so I GUESS there might be hope for future anime adaptations, even though most of them are either terrible, whitewashed, or both.

And I'd love to see an animated movie adaptation of Gunnerkrigg Court :^)

Speaking of anime adaptations: I really want a JoJo adaptation. Heck, considering that most of the parts take place on a global scale with usually British or Italian characters, you can get away with casting non-japanese actors for the most part (Excluding part 3 and part 4). So there goes that little hurdle.

That, and Weird Al needs to play Speedwagon.
