I made my own fonts with Caligraphr. I used to simply do the handwriting before and I don't recommend that... XD

Currently, I used my own handwriting for my comic . I'm pretty new in making web comic and I know that this question is lame but I'm struggling with adding texts to my comic . I'm using Paint Tool Sai by the way . I'd deeply appreciate it if you reply . :worried:

My problem was that people couldn't read my handwriting, so they couldn't really get into the story. If you have a nice and readable handwriting, you should be fine. Mine was really messy... XD

Also used Paint Tool Sai to write. Now I put text in whatever graphic program that works with psd files and has a text editor.

I personally use the regular sans serif font because I also prefer a font with upper and lowercase characters. But I'm really liking the Ames and Milk Mustache fonts that you've mentioned!

For fonts included in my computer: Humana Sans for two of my comics, Tekton Pro for another.

For fonts I got elsewhere: Ride My Bike Pro in one comic, Hometown Hero in another, and I plan on using Manly Men and Ninjutsu in a new project in the future. The latter three are from Blambot.

@joannekwan Gaaaahhh- dont get me started on fonts..! I have the Adam Kubert font which want to use on a project- it almost became the font I use in my current webcomic.

I used to hand-letter, but it got too time-consuming, so now, I use Classic Comic font. Unfortunately, it is an Adobe Creative Cloud font, so if you don't have access to typekit, you can't use it.

I kind of want to use a more handwritten script-y font, since my comic is fantasy. Something that looks like handwriting, or an old manuscript, but I don't want the dialogue to be difficult to read.

I have used:

16

and SF Cartoonist Hand

4

Going to make my own though, I think. Hard to find the right flair I want without it always being ultra fancy and illegible.

11 months later

I used to use Ames
http://purastik.net/ames/e.html6

but I'm currently using Milk Mustache

as for logos i'll sometimes use playlist

or subscriber
https://www.dafont.com/subscriber.font3

otherwise it's just handwritten stuff or defaults already on my pc

I generally use Milk Mustache, but I'm considering looking into other fonts for certain characters.

I used to use like, that really basic font? Like really just this one or very similar. But now I use Delius Unicase. It's almost all locked in whether or not it's capped so I'm considering changing the font after I take a longer hiatus. I'm tempted to just do it now, but I don't know if it'd flow well... haha

Acme Secret Agent, it's close enough to a traditional comic lettering. Should I be using a font with lowercase characters? Mhmm, I don't really need it, maybe because I grew up with traditional comics and is so used to their format.
