My first short story was called "The Magic That She Wrote" and it was published in an anthology until the publisher went bankrupt XD
It was about a curious girl who always wanted to know her neighbor who lived a couple of miles away from them. This neighbors house was the home to a grouchy old lady who grew a beautiful garden. However, her home was surrounded by walls and this little girl admired it. One day, the old lady died and so she decided to go explore the house. Inside the home was papers scattered everywhere and so she carefully maneuvered around them.
She headed out the back door to the garden and found a prince who took her to his ball. The two danced together and pretty much had a good time. When she came back to the garden, she decided to go home, thinking that what she had experienced was a dream. On her way out of the house, she found a letter addressed to her on the mantle of a fireplace.
She grabbed the letter and opened and read it. The Old lady told her that she had a choice. The papers scattered around was all about the little girl's life. She could either take time and piece her life together, reading it from beginning to end, or live it with the Prince in the Sky because she had just become "God".
And then the story ends ¯_(ツ)_/¯
