What was your reasons for creating your comic?

Volpino, that is the main character in Volpino's Adventures
is my alter ego. I'd like to merge my life and my comic. one support each other.
is a way to express my self. But there is a lot of self-love, ossession about drawing everyday. That are not beautiful things, but actually this is me, I can't hide myself. And after that I don't find easy doing my comic.. actually is very hard. so I think that I still have to discover a better way to express my self...

I'm disabled and was told since I was young I won't be able to work a normal job. I loved to write stories and to draw and soon after getting out of school I was asked by people if I'd create my own comics. The local comic store encouraged me to create something and that was the original push. I did self publish for a time, until I crashed and forced to quit due to my health, but 8 years ago my wife convinced me to start up my current series Inside OuT because I missed creating comics, but no more publishing or conventions, focusing mainly online and making sure I don't overdo it.

Now I continue because I love it and enjoy creating stories for people to enjoy.

When I first started on Custode I told myself that this is a practice piece. I've been racking my brain for years trying to finish developing some story ideas that I have had since forever and that I really, really want to draw, but they have always felt a little too ambitious compared to my current level of skill. At the same time, I wanted to finally publish and work on something so I stuck with the first semi-cooked idea the I came up with. I started Custode with only the basic ideas of where I wanted to go with it. I have the plot all figured out now, character development and everything, and my goal is of course to find and entertain readers, but I'm also testing my abilities with it.

In my case it's pretty much just making stories with these characters I like... I started out making these game company characters (having been a fan of personifications for years), made a comic about a recent event and it just went from there. At this point I just love my characters and have so many stories/jokes to tell about them. Plus it's a way to comment on events in the game industry or whatever dumb/terrible/weird thing a company recently did.

I created Superbia to push my limits! The first strip was the first time I'd ever used Photoshop - it's crazy to see how much I've improved just in the last few weeks. I also wanted to create a story that doesn't have clear-cut villains, which is a first for me. Everyone has some good and bad to them, although for some characters the good (and the bad) might take time to bring out. Check it out if mythology in the modern day is your thing! Or if you like mushrooms who study magic and collect antiques.

Life of an Aspie started life as a run of the mill shoujo comic with the only difference that separated it from the multitude of bargain bin shoujo comics out there is that the main character was white. As I got more serious about LoaA and I started coming up with ideas in my head specifically conversations that Susan would have with her peers/classmates, she often "spoke" like I, an actual person with Asperger's Syndrome would and so that's when I had my "aha" moment and realized that I now had that one thing to help separate my take on the shoujo genre from all the clones out there.

Anyway, you don't really see female aspies in the media too often and I feel that people on the spectrum get a lot of shit on the internet for not knowing certain social norms and customs which is another reason I created LoaA. I feel by having a main lead with AS, it not only adds value to the shojo genre (the comic of course isn't strictly a shoujo manga as readers will see in due time), but I think for people on the spectrum out there boy or girl, having somebody who's very relatable to them will help them better cope with their disorder and show the greater internet that no, having autism/asperger's does NOT make you mentally challenged.

I made Agapetos for a variety of reasons but one of them is that while I love stories set during Biblical times so many of them are...um...well, very corny and kitschy to say the least, and tend to have a very black and white, extremely moralizing focus. For my comic I really wanted to do a story set during the time of Jesus that focuses more on the complicatedness and uncertainty of people's lives during that time period, rather than like, yet another magical conversion story (cough cough "Risen" cough). Something that features Jesus and his words, but isn't focused on him, per-se. Also once I'd developed some characters I got rather fond of them and really wanted to explore the kinds of people they were and how they'd adapt to this setting, so that was that!

Other than that this is my first webcomic, and I wanted to do something relatively short since I have a tendency to lengthen things, it was good that I have a definite ending in mind for this story I'm doing, and I'm excited to be working towards that part.

The purpose of my comic Galaxy Guts: https://tapastic.com/series/Galaxy-Guts is to purely express the dreams I had of space as a kid and combining that with a darker sense of humour. I'm a traditionalist so I love to represent those who choose to stick to ink and paper.
Overall this was a great opportunity to finally show people what I've secretly been doing for years whether or not I got a good reception. I love my characters dearly so I thought it would be cool to share them.

I create my comic for fun, although I would one day like to make money from my work. I'm also in the process of teaching myself better skills. Mine is a gag style strip so it's quite easy to let my art style evolve as my skills improve.

I'm doing comics for 12 years now, and usually when I start something new it's just from the sheer need to create. When I don't create I get bored.
My latest webcomic Under Pressure is a little bit autobiographical. It's based on my experience as a comic author, but the main charater is I hope worse person than I actually am. I try to focus on the rubbish aspects of my personality. I don't like to brag about stuff I did right, so Im doing a comic where I laugh about things I screwed up.

So basically, I finished my previous webcomic, and then I just started thinking about what to do next. The need for being creative all the time. It's a burden I have to live with

I technically write two comics Seishin Patona and In The Midst. Seishin Patona is an action adventure comic while In The Midst is a dramatic romance comic. For this topic I will be discussing my second comic In The Midst.

The reason why I started In The Midst was because I wanted to improve my ability as a storyteller. I have been writing/drawing comics for 10 years, during that time I have only written action adventure stories. I thought I would expand my horizons and try a genre I have never tried which was drama and romance. This change occurred when my brother and I moved to the apartment we are living in now. I was only interested in action themed anime before our move. When we did move we started watching anime of all different genres from Romance, to drama to slice of life. I started to like anime that didn't have alot of action such as Shirobako, Anohana, the flower we saw that day,Search of the Lost Future, Classroom Crisis and Erased just to name a few. Just like how my taste in anime expanded I wanted to make the type of genres I work in varied. I wanted to write somewhat like Hayao Miyazaki and Osamu Tezuka where they didn't one specific genre but wrote a stories in a multitude of genres.
