What would you want your readers to think about your comic/novel?

I want them to be able to understand what I am trying to portray in my work, as well as dive in the atmosphere I am trying to recreate.
And most importantly, enjoy the story

I want people to be able to take my work seriously enough and enjoy it for what it is and be able to support me and my work as it (hopefully) grows.

I guess one thing I have been struggling a lot with recently is that knowledge that we can't control what people think of our work, so I guess the best thing that you can do going forward is be the biggest fan of your own work and find other supportive people who feel the same if that makes sense.

As long as some part of it engages them, that's all I want, doesn't have to be deep or meaningful.

I'm writing a romance, so I do want people to have ~feels~ for the relationship, but I also, at this point, want the story to feel fairly unsettling and miserable. I try to create quite a lot of atmosphere in my writing so if that comes through, then I've done my job

I guess for my main series, on a much deeper level, I wanted to create an anti-“not like other girl/boy” story. I wanted to show that everyone has emotional baggage. And in order to find connections with other people, you need to have empathy.

Believe it or not, even though making comics about giant sentient fruit ninjas sounds like a comedy on paper, I want others to have the complete opposite reaction to those stories and characters. While I do understand the thought of fruit ninjas kicking butt in New York to be humorous, I don't and I do want to emphasize DON'T want to shy away from dark/gritty/mature themes like any other action/adventure comic. There are moments within my comics that are "M" rated to say the least. That's exactly what I'm going for. Apart of me wants viewers to think that it's going to be a comedic series, only to find out that it's a comic with an in-depth plot and mature themes and characters.

Even though I write fantasy stories with fantasy characters, my hope is that readers can still relate to them and see how they grow. If I intentionally start a character out as unlikeable with the intention of them being likeable by the end, I hope the readers can see that.

I just want people to love my OCs as much as I do. That's pretty much it Receiving fanart/fanfics is the highest honor to me.

I guess it'd be nice if people liked the plots and worldbuilding too; I love answering questions and reading theories people come up with.

I want them to relate to my MC. He's lovable and awkward and curious and I hope that whenever he encounter new situations my readers will anticipate how he'll react. I also want my readers to feel everything he feels. I want them to be sad with him, happy with him, understand his melodramatic episodes and feel like he can be their best friend in their head. I base a lot of his wit on my own so if you like him you'll like me too

I want people to laugh, and I want people to learn. My MC is a mess and she’s kinda problematic at the start—she doesn’t trust her own judgement and she relies on her best friends to decide how she should act. But her friends are also wrong and have problematic responses to situations. I want readers to learn alongside my MC to trust their own judgments instead of thinking that other people must have it “more figured out”.
