What's the average rate for an inker?

I'm really over drawing my own comics lol

But I can't afford the average rate for a full blown artist... So instead, if I can afford one, I just need a finisher; someone to make my drawings pretty.

So, on average, what would most of you work-for-hire folks be likely to charge?

Keep in mind, my art is not complex at all... Think Newspaper funnies (but worse)... All I really need is someone darken the lines, vary the line-weights, and spot blacks.

Hopefully I'm not wasting anyone's time with this question.

I work per panel so I personally do about $20 USD and up per panel (I work in scroll format) to do everything from storyboard, to lineart, to flats and shadows, and then dialogue. For something simple like this, the cost would probably be a lot less depending on the artist. Hope this helps!

Can you give an example of your pages? sometimes it is not so easy to color something that seems simple. Depending on the time it takes it could be from 10 dollars per panel to 40 or 50 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, you have a fairly simple style and it looks like a comic with only a few panels per page(?) so it wouldn't be too expensive.

I would colored something like this for 15$ for panel but maybe someone want more if it is a stable contract.
PS: ink is practically as difficult as coloring if you want shadow and all, but if is only the outlined and a simple shadow, maybe they do it for 10 dollars for panel (I have read that it is the minimum wage in the usa).
If you really don't have any money, I can ink the 2-3 panels for $ 15 in digital ink.
