What's your artstyle? + Promoting it!

I posted this YEARS ago and people seemed to like it, so why not do it again?
Probably the coolest part about webcomics to me is the idea there are so many different themes in so many different comics, and artstyles can really help to make them shine. Serious? Grim? Wacky? So many comics I've picked up due to art alone and ended up absolutely loving! (Seriously, read Giruhiru's Gwenpool run)

Post your comic, it's artstyle and possibly what you want it to look more like/improved. Heck, maybe you'll find a new comic with an artstyle you love!

Years ago, my artstyle was extremely Scott Pilgrim-esque. I take it as a complement, I love that comic! As time went on, I picked up cues from random artists here and there off Twitter and Instagram and ended up making something really unique. I hope to improve dynamic anatomy. My main issue is time - I want to make detailed and dynamic panels, but you also want to stick to a schedule, y'know?

My art style was Inspired by anime and manga iconography. But otherwise, I don’t actually know what style I have. Some readers say it reminds them of South Park and I can see that.

I think I’ll call it… simplistic realism? Sorta?

Style started out like I didn't know what I was doing...until I did, like a Disney/Don Bluth cartoon wannabe...now I'm back to don't know anymore...

Edit: Oh! The style of Drosera Overgrown is really nostalgic if you ever read old style funnies back in the day. I had Beetle Bailey books and Agatha Crumm and others I can't remember the name of. Great times!

I just started with the anime aesthetic, but I truly wanted to give the impressions of these strange aliens the gothic vibes, long robes, dark colors, etc.

My art style has been described as gothic, zim-like, and reminiscent of the 90's. I also think of it as being 'simple' and 'unhinged'

My art style is simple and cute. I tend to like soft art with vivid colors, so that ends up showing up in my style! I'm inspired by both anime and western cartoons, so I think my style ends up getting a bit of influence from both places.

I like to have just a bit of texture / try to add a bit of an intentionally rough feel to my style, in part because I used to draw by hand a lot and kind of missed the slightly rough look of hand drawn art when working digitally. So I use an inking brush that's a bit bumpy looking. I also like to add a paper texture on top of my artwork.

For lettering, I like to use my own handwriting. For comic covers, I'll draw letters, but for the text in this comic, I used a font based on my handwriting to make it a bit easier to write all the words.

My art Style is quite exaggerated and kind of Tim burton like In Nature (or so I’ve been told) I usually draw really big eyes and I use simple shapes to create a figure. I Also use really sketchy lineart

Well, the art style is use, while not manga is manga inspired, albeit loosely. I don’t think it has much in common with manga really.

I love seeing the unique art styles in comics on here! I learned to draw using anime and manga as my main point of reference, but lately I’ve been trying to draw in a more manhwa inspired style.

It's really cool to see everyone's different artstyle, it's really easy to forget the diversity when you just look at the front page's "average manhwa" style TwT. No hate to that style it's just it's so prevalent that it's easy to forget it's not the only one out there.

My artstyle is a big mix of stuff, mostly of more realistic end of manga, a lot of Tokyo ghoul in there, also the Arcane series because I work in digital painting.

I also think I've managed to improve over the last year's drawing :3

I generally describe my style as a mix between the expressiveness of anime and the angularity of 2010's western cartoons, such as Danny Phantom, Ben 10 or Samurai Jack.

In my webcomic INKIN, I have very expressive and loose style in terms of drawing and inking. I think adding monochromatic coloring to it, it really pops and is fun to produce and fits scifi mystery story really well.

My work is inspired by 2000 era printed western comics, and then more modern, digital art era webcomics I loved follow.

I'd say my style is a healthy mix of western cartoon, anime, and some semi realism. I'll add some examples.
