What's your drawing style?

A lot of my drawings are very sketchy

I'm really inspired by super cartoony styles, specifically I love Butch Hartman and Lauren Faust a lot, as well as the art from Skullgirls and Treasure Planet. For me, I love to focus on using shape language in my character designs and exaggerating features. With my environments, I'm really invested in limited color scheme palettes that are super moody--I love using color to set the mood of a scene because it's a very powerful tool to do so!

Here's something quick I worked on today of the two main characters in my comic!

I am really inspired by anime and manga styled art works.. Then I really wanted to do realistic.. and I crossed it a bit to semi-realistic? Like a mix between anime/semi/realistic. That's quite sketchy. ^-^

Mine is a mix of everything that I have felt inspired by, ever.

When I was a child, I dabbled a lot with [poorly-drawn] manga style, but as I grew older, I started dipping my toes in other styles, like digital painting, while still being quite influenced by Manga. I recently just got back into drawing after a very long hiatus due to school, sort of still building on my own style.

I'd say it's a mix of everything. I was really into anime and manga when I was younger, and I bet there are still some influences there. I also watch a lot of western cartoons and probably have some influences there (someone once compared my atyle to venture Bros, heh). I'm not sure where I am on the style scale myself, so here are some examples:

European style lines (but I'm Canadian) but with a sort of west comics cheesiness, and very obvious leftover manga influence. Stylized but still really figurative, and working really hard on colours!

I've never actively thought about what my style is, so I can't say much about it other than "this is my style, there are many like it, but this one is mine". People have told me that it's closer to realism, but I can't see it. :/

Can't say I ever had an active influence for my visual work, the closest to one I could say I've had throughout the years is Alphonse Mucha. (I'm probably the worlds weirdest comic creator for being more into classical artists, than comic artists)

My art style is a mix or realism and anime/manga. Many people tell me it is an interesting art style. I just enjoy drawing my characters this way, its the most fun way to draw a person to me.

I also have a more anime orientated style but, it looks to similar to my normal style minus the nose and chin.

I like to think mine is very western with just a hint of Japanese inspiration. I draw lines gritty and hard with rough edges and I don't like areas of color to be homogenized.

Proportions can get a bit weird, but for the most part it's somewhat realistic with either stark use of value or vibrant use of color in every frame. I also like to break the edges, but I'm thinking I should do that a bit less just because it's sort of like the comic version of 3D in a movie, which is fine if used right but just weird if not.

My style is... Disney-ish? I'm not really sure, Some mix of styles. I started in the anime manga area, but I ended up feeling I needed to do something more realistic, but not too realistic X__x

I like the way my style is now, not too oriental.

I think I've got rather semi-realistic default style. It's also the one I use for my main comic. Sometimes I also work more realistically and sometimes much more cartoony, when my manga roots start showing. xD B&W comic examples are from 24H comics and the tiny purple ones are how I draw my autobio comic.

I think my style is pretty anime-ish with a dash of western cartoons. I used to try to make my style look more western or realistic, but they both looked weird, so I went back to pseudo-anime. :b

Mine started as influence from slightly more realistic manga styles. Naruto was the first influence, then I joined DA and found the french manga community who's drawings were an awesome mix of noveau/ cartoon. And then most recently, I just went and studied a lot of realism because I wanted desperately to avoid the same face trap of manga styles. A lot of people will tell me it either looks western or eastern (or sometimes Disney) to them.

I made a 300 page comic when I was in high school, but then I kinda stopped for... almost 10 years I guess? I was in art school though, just not making comics. I guess I've been making them again for 4 years now! So I have been working on my drawing a LONG ass time.
