What's your drawing style?

My art is still evolving and I'm still trying a lot of new things but the hardest and most rewarding is the repetitious art of webcomics

My styles differ depending on what I'm doing. This first drawing is a chibi style for Togire! where I like to sketch my lines in rather than making them perfect and I use big blocks of colour. I just think it suits the comic.

This is from a manga idea I'm working on when I have time to spare. This one is a lot heavier on detail but I do like working this way. This is pencilled and inked by hand as I don't wish to do all my work digitally.

And this is also pen on paper. This is a crossover illustration I did for a friends birthday using a bunch of different materials (graphite and coloured pencils, ink, watercolour.)

My art style has always been really scruffy, sketchy. In a nice way, sure, but still sketchy. When i started getting into western comics, I was terrified that I'd have to crack down on getting a really clean, pristine drawing, like those in comics like Ultimate Spider-Man. Then I found Adrian Alphona's Ms Marvel, and the art was really good, but really sketchy. I took tips from his work to make mine more mature and break away from my manga phase, while keeping my own individual style (hopefully)

My art style in comics is manga style. I grew up reading a lot of manga so it's the style I easily became comfortable using in my comics. I plan to venture on the webtoon world someday but I bet my style would still be the same but in color.
I am very open about art styles in other comics, though! :3

My art style is a pretty strange mix between anime and disney. (Or so I'm told.) I have no idea how it turned out this way, but I try to make it as clean and nice looking as possible. I prefer to do lots of solid shading and coloring. Mostly cell shade. I add line weight to my lineart as well to give it that "comic" look, but I'm unsure if it makes a difference or not.

I tend to change my style at least a little bit every time I start a new project. So mine is kind of all over the place. In the past few years I've used:

thin lines with sell shading,

thick lines with very limited color,

no lines with flat colors and simple shapes,

and "organic" looking line work and shading with limited color.

Maybe one day I'll learn to stick to a style for more than five minutes, but for now I seem to have art ADD.

I have a very cartoonish, anglular style with bold lines. I use straight lines sometimes but I do almost everything free, so my comics tend to have werid curved architecture and percpective (which I like). I also use cell-shading and bright colors. I've been told my style looks more like an animated cartoon as opposed to typical superhero comics. I take that as a good thing since I don't really like realism in comics that have wizards and robots and such.

It definitely reminds me of a cell shading animation.
With the colors and the dynamic of the pages, it makes me think of Jet Set Radio Future.
I wonder why they never used this licence again!

It depends on the project for me. It can be comic style, cartoonish, or Disney Style. But my main drawing style, such as in my webcomic, The Chronicles of SolLuna, is a mix of anime and western styles as you can see in the image attached.

Hmm, my style is heavily inspired from the anime/manga style, especially one of my favourite series, Tokyo Ghoul. I've also started to draw inspiration for my colouring techniques from the same artist who made Tokyo Ghoul and a guy called Ponkan8 (check out his work, the colouring is heavenly.) Hmmm, there might be a bit of Hyouka in there as well, and since I'm experimenting, I might throw in a bit of Eva 3.33.
Jeebus, after this entire list, I feel like I'm ripping off all these artists, but I guess this is how original styles are created; getting bits and pieces from different places and making something new.

Mine unfortunately keeps changing and is VERY evident in my comic. I think/hope it will be evening out soon. It BETTER before chapter two or I'll smack it in the back of the head.

I'm just gonna say that my style is my own @_@ ... I guess there are some similarities to be drawn to anime/manga because I indulge in that more than I should (not like its a guilty pleasure or anything, I just prefer the animation style over those of 'western' cartoons) though I also draw inspiration from a bunch of artists I follow on social media / look up to! Mainly haldrauve on tumblr and phobs, but there are definitely more that I cant list unless I want this post to be 50 miles long. If anything just my style of coloring changes dramatically - as evident through various pages of my webcomic...
