I think... everytime someone says: 'Oh, your art is so good, your storyline is so nice... you should be more popular...' this hurts me a bit because it means to me like: "no matter how much effort you're pouring into this, it's not going anywhere."

I know that feel, bro. But I also try to understand their feelings that they honestly think your art is great, and that's why they say that.

I feel like no matter how hard I try it will amount to nothing. I'm still trash, my art is mediocore at best and NSE is still a pile of shit. I want / try so hard to not have it be a steaming pile of dog poo...But it always is. I just want to delete everything sometimes. But at the same time there's some weird narcissistic streak where I feel like NSE SHOULD have more readers. It's a great mix I tell you, I can feel guilty about being a shitty person on top of the dissatisfaction I have towards everything I do.

im still not fully settled in on csp, and im unsatisfied with the pages im making. its really frustrating given the amount of time i spent on the thumbnails

although i also think im having problems w the thumbnailing translating to the pages - i think i need to do some shading thumbnails before i draw my pages

May I recommend you to try this book? You should listen to its audible while drawing, It's help a lot!

I have a full time job which takes all the hours out of my day to relax. And then on top of that I got like 6 people wanting to talk with me constantly and some are upset I have to put them on hold. Just wish I had more time ;-;

I’ve been complaining about this for years: I really want to read the story I’m writing, I just don’t want to be the one to write it

1. Lack of time and focus.

2. Having no understanding of producing comic-related stuff (pins, prints etc). I'm doing as much research as I can but nothing is the same across the board.

3. The high likelihood that my work will be for nothing if I can't get my business head on and start being more professional/marketing myself.

4. Knowing that even if I did market myself right and get some gigs, chances are my skills aren't up to scratch anyway and my work ethic is too erratic to do the job well.

5. Knowing that allllll of that is fixable with a little elbow grease. See point 1.

I've been having a lot of issues coming up with scripts recently, so that's frustrating for sure. My other problem is that the comic just takes so much time and energy to make that I don't feel like I have time for anything else. x_x
